The Assassin's Creed franchise has exceeded sales of 73 million, according to newly released figures from publisher/developer Ubisoft.
Ubisoft's second-best-selling franchise, Just Dance, has sold more than 48 million units. Three three Tom Clancy franchise -- Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon -- come in third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Assassin's Creed franchise sold 60 million units as of the last official numbers released. The franchise's most recent title, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, released last October, has actually achieved lower sales than its predecessor. The next title, Assassin's Creed: Unity, is expected by the end of the year.
