This was a FANTASTIC match. One of the best Shimmer matches ever. The match battled throughout all four sides of the crowd, on top of the bar and almost out of the building. The crowd was transfixed from bell to bell. When Melissa finally got the three count the crowd erupted with excitement. It was really something spectacular to experience.

I met both of them at the April taping. Both were extremely nice. I would recommend anyone that is a fan of women's wrestling to attend a Shimmer taping. It can be a relatively cheap weekend and it is SO much fun.

Well if I lived near there I would but living in CA it would be too much to get there and stay comfortably.

This is the first SHIMMER iPPV. I have ordered a couple of the Shine iPPVs which are through WWNLive. I have already ordered SHIMMER for tomorrow as it promises to be E-P-I-C. It is early, but SHIMMER has the noon time slot at Wrestlecon. The good thing is that you get the on-demand replay. Once the DVD edit has been created, that will replace the iPPV edit, so it will be just like having the DVD.

Well I officially ordered it.

Glad I got it for $15 since it was the day of the show if you go by EST..

If anyone is on the fence about ordering the SHIMMER iPPV, read this article. This is a fantastic piece written by a couple of guys that understand women's wresting. This is a great preview of the iPPV.

Is there a shimmer battle royal or did they ever had one just curious I just want to see something featuring all the girls first before I think about ordering.

I think there was one battle royal in the history of the promotion. Unlike WWE, SHIMMER will not just throw a bunch of women into a ring to have them eliminate themselves just to get them on the DVD. SHIMMER matches are quality wrestling. And with 30+ women on the roster for the DVD, putting them all into the ring together would be chaos and a mess for the viewer.

I'm assuming you've not looked up any of the matches on Dailymotion like was discussed a while ago?

I just want to tell you DL, that SHIMMER is nothing like the WWE Divas or TNA Knockouts. I don't know if you were to enjoy it because I think you like the whole T&A thing Divas offer. However, you don't really get any of that when it comes to SHIMMER.

This has been a fantastic show. So far, the only not great match was Veda/Shazza vs CherryBomb/Kimber Lee. My heart sunk when Lufisto hit the floor. I hope she is okay.

I think my favorite match is between the Eagles/McKay & Athena/Hamada. You can tell that Madison still isn't 100%, but even at this level, she is better than most. I fully expect Hamada to win the belt at tapings next weekend from Sweet Saraya Knight.

YOU Won't belive this I FINALLY watched a Shimmer Match the one that Eric posted Madison Eagles vs Jessie McKay and guess what.......
I LOVE IT!!! It was AMAZING I LOVE MADISON EAGLES she awesome the whole match was amazing!!!! I can not wait to watch more shimmer matches in the future especially with Madison Eagles in it thanks Eric for posting that match!!!!

So, I just got back from my 5th SHIMMER weekend. It was AMAZING. Stood outside in the cold for 3-4 hours both days waiting on the doors to open only to be utterly astounded both days. Madison Eagles vs Kana and Mercedes Martinez vs Ayako Hamada vs Kana vs Yuu Yamagata were the matches of the weekend. Allison Danger's retirement speech was SO SO SO sad. She will be missed in the ring, but at least she is going to stay in the background for SHIMMER. I cannot wait for the fall because I hope to make it my 6th trip to the suburbs of the Windy City.

From the sound of the tapings it seemed like the show was great.

Melissa turning heel will be different [for Shimmer at least].

I will say that it would have been nice if they kept the main champion as a face for longer. I'm pretty sure the majority of the title's existence has had a heel be champion. :-/
