Cruserweight Division

I admit to not be a huge WCW follower but I remember watching there awesome cruserweights occasionly. What I dont get is if WWE wanted to be kid friendly, why not revise the cruserweight division? Let's be honest here, Kids love the flashy moves, the flips, the high speed. Why has WWE not capitolized on this, make the cruiserweight division like it was and not a joke(Hornswoggle ). They'd be killing two birds with one stone, Increasing popularity among kids, while leveling the only thing that TNA has on WWE.

Second reason.. Vince doesn't like that style.

third is... there was a report recently that they are looking to go back to tv-14

Fourth is that Vince has crazy erotic dreams of huge build guys

Yeah they banned a handfull of moves used by the Cruiserweight Division. Evan Bourne is reviving moves used by the Division that were banned but doubt WWE will ever bring it back though.

They still continued with the division until Hornswoggle got the belt.. in like 2008.. I mean.. guys were getting injured back in 03 or whatever with the shooting star press.. soo.. yeah.

Evan has been getting injured alot lately, dont be suprised to see his moveset limited.

but it was a loooong ass injury....so thaat may result in more injuries to come
it seems the wrestlers that have big injuries come back and get injured over and over
Undertake, HHH, Edge, Orton, Cena all examples of this..oh and dont forget batista

either way i was never high on the devision, and also im not one who likes spotted matches and big flashy moves.....so it would make sense the way blue explained it to have the kids love them flying around

but i doubt it will come back

The injury wasnt even from the SSP, it was from someone not doing their job and not catching him on the outside correctly.

The cruiserweight division didn't always consist of spotty matches.

The flashy moves were in there, but the matches always delivered. It wasn't just a spotfest.

i wasnt saying it was....i just never liked them much...my opinion....and who was the dude bourne was facing and didnt catch him

Yes, but if you watch it in slow-mo you see that Bourne's momentum is carrying him over Neely's shoulder.

IMO, the cruiserweight division died when they released Billie Kidman. I only liked Juventud, London, Kendrick, Funaki from there on...

But I agree, they should revive it. They already have:
Evan Bourne
Jamie Noble
Primo
Jimmy Wang Yang
Kung Funaki
Tyson Kidd
Gregory Helms

This isn't as good as it used to be, but I'd even throw Gail Kim out there, as I think shes good enough. Cruiserweight matches were always the ones I most looked foward too.

He injured his leg workin with Mike Knox if I recall

And now he's injured after working with Big Show.

Sure he didn't injure himself but that wont stop WWE from limiting his move set and calling him injury prone


I also agree with X, I loved Billy Kidman (THE ORIGINAL SSP) Hate how the commentators completely ignore that he did the move waaaaaaaaay before Bourne came around.

He didn't injure his leg with Mike Knox, Mike Knox just took his slammy and attacked him during his injury. It was just because Bam Neely sucks and that's why he got injured.

He got injured with Big Show? No reports surfaced that I recall.
