2 major firings

According to sources, TNA Creative team member Wayne Cowan (former wrestler Dutch Mantel) and TNA Agent Savio Vega have been released by TNA.

Dutch Mantel was very close to Jeff Jarrett. He had been with TNA since 2003. His departure leaves the creative team without a veteran 'wrestling mind'. This is a big departure for sure.

Savio Vega was brought in as an agent last year after Scott D'Amore's departure and had been working closely with the Knockouts. He was very close with Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantel as well.

There are many who are questioning Jeff Jarrett's status with the company as well. These are both huge shakeups within TNA.

I for one see this has bad, bad news. with Dixie running it, it will tend to focus more on Angle and the other rejects(not including booker or morgan here) and begin its slow demise. in my honest opinion Jeff ran it best since with him the ratings have gone up this year, even though it is only slightly

I think Dixie Carter will do a great job running the company because she will hire good people and Kurt Angle been in wrestling for a while and his promos are funny so their maybe some real good stuff to come out of it.

The problem with Dixie running things is that she knows shit about wrestling. She prolly backs dudes like Angle because he was in the top wrestling company and he had success there.

With Jarrett running it, it was more focused on the WWE rejects.

Well, when Jarrett was running it, he brought ex-WWE guys into the main event with hopes of getting viewership. It worked for a while because the rest of the card often deflected away from how bad the main event was. Was it getting large numbers to compete with the WWE? Of course not, but every viewer counts. =p

imo, TNA's best PPV was Final Resolution 2005. People talk about the AMW vs Team Canada match, the Ultimate X match.. Hell, even Elix Skipper vs Sonjay Dutt. They don't talk about how bad the ex-WWE guys did (Hall, Nash, Hardy). However, some people watched just to see those guys.

I know I ordered the first TNA PPV back in 02 to see my Scotty. But I was entertained enough by the rest of the show to give the next week a shot. And so on.

actually it was dixie that had gave kurt all the power he has now which is mainly why its focused on him and MEM which has a lot of wwe rejects.

Paul Heyman has been brought up as being hired... but he's said he 'never' wants to work for TNA, and would probably want to do more than just write. Also, a lot of management has told Carter a lot of bad stories, partially due to risk of losing power if Heyman is hired... but it's the wrestling business, when push comes to shove, anything can happen.

This looks like a big tangled web...

Kurt Angle is stale as fuck and if WWE comes calling once his contract runs(And they will) Kurt will drop TNA in a heartbeat and Dixie will be royally screwed. Who the fuck is the bitch anyways? Jeff founded TNA right? He's supposed to have more of a pull then fucking Kurt Angle.

I do hope someone like Paul Heyman gets brought in, he can turn the shit that is TNA around, I truly feel that way.
