Sony Pictures Entertainment has hired James Vanderbilt to write the planned Spider-Man 5 and Spider-Man 6 films, Variety reports. Vanderbilt was the lead writer for the upcoming Spider-Man 4, due in theaters next May. The fifth and sixth films in the web-slinging series are reported to share “an interconnected storyline.”
