How do you feel when you have a hunch someone's not paying attention to what you have to say?

How do you feel when you have a hunch someone's not paying attention to what you have to say? Do you raise your voice? Do you get nasty? And do you at times enjoy "playing the devil's advocate" (debating for the fun of it)?

I'm sorry, what?

i just shrug it off and stop talking...wait for them to speak up.

I'll finish my statement, stop talking and basically won't take it to heart. I do it too when the person who's speaking to me keeps rambbling on about pretty much nothing, repeating theirself during the process. haha

Some folks do it out of spite just to be rude, and others do it as a concentration lapse and not wanting to be rude. I think I fall into the second category.

i'll finish what i have to say and then ask what i just say.

i do more listening than talking though so this doesnt happen to me often.

I'll just stop talking, it's not worth it. They're not either if they can't even listen to what you have to say. I never ignore someone, even if they start talking stupid, that's when it becomes obvious I don't need to talk to that person all together, so, I don't.

When someone was suppose to be watching you and listening, then all of a sudden turn to someone else's conversation, or start a new one, that hurts. I've only had that happen to be once, it felt like a punch in the stomach. I always have something useful and important to say. Jeez.

I find it a little annoying, but I usaully just stop talking in walk away, there's no use in wasting my breath.
