I learned that many people cannot be trusted and they will be quick to stab you in the back for something better...whether it be a better job, a better friend, a better spouse...

Don't be quick to let people in. There are people who are simply curious about your issues, and there are those who actually care. You just have to trust yourself to know the difference.

The world is a twisted, cruel place and you have to be selfish and heartless to a certain extent to survive.
