Chokeslam Hernandez Injured The TNA tag team division just took a major hit now that one of their top tag teams is going to be on the shelf for quite a few months.
The company is going to have to make do without LAX. Hernandez (real name Shawn Hernandez) is going to be out for at least 6 months after having surgery to repair an injured neck.
On the latest episode of TNA iMPACT!, the company ran an injury angle where Hernandez was attacked by members of the new stable called the British Invasion.
Hernandez's tag team partner, Homicide, is expected to continue working. He will more than likely be used as a singles wrestler in the X division. There's also a chance that TNA could give Homicide a temporary tag team partner to go after the British Invasion.
Austin Misses Wrestling Steve Austin has the itch again.
During Wrestlemania 25 weekend, Steve Austin got an opportunity to be around the business again. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The day after, he was in the arena watching the likes of Ricky Steamboat, the Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels working their magic in the ring.
The nostalgia caught up to Steve Austin, and he admitted that he missed being in the ring.
Immediately after Wrestlemania 25, though, Steve Austin had to return to his day job as an actor. He boarded a plane for Brazil to begin work on a movie with Sylvester Stallone.
Rodman Interested in TNA Dennis Rodman has expressed interest in working with TNA.
Earlier this week, the former NBA star was spotted in Miami hanging out with Jeremy Borash. Dennis Rodman inquired about signing a deal with TNA that is similar to the one that the company gave to Donny Bonaduce.
Dennis Rodman has worked matches for WCW before. He was also a member of the legendary nWo stable. In December, the Worm won the very first Celebrity Championship Wrestling competition that was produced by Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff.
Morrison/Melina Back Together After taking some time apart, it now appears that John Morrison and Melina are now dating again.
The two started dating one another while they were contestants on the 3rd season of Tough Enough, a reality TV show produced by WWE. The company capitalized on their real life relationship by having them be an on-screen couple.
The relationship between the two ended, but they remained friends. Melina began a relationship with Batista after the split. However, the two decided that it was best that they simply remain friends.
Now, John Morrison and Melina are back together. The couple was spotted together at the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Interestingly enough, John Morrison (from ECW) and Melina (from Raw) were both moved over to the Smackdown brand recently.
Some wrestling websites have stated that the couple was paired up together again by management, but WWE has a history of putting real life couples on different brands to keep things professional.
WWE Signs Miss April Miss April has signed a developmental deal with WWE.
The 22 year old wrestler, whose real name is April Jeanette, is expected to head down to Florida soon to begin training with Florida Championship Wrestling. Miss April received a contract after having tryout matches with Natalya and Michelle McCool.
Miss April is highly regarded as one of the best female wrestlers on the independent wrestling circuit.
On an interesting side note, Miss April is currently dating TNA star Jay Lethal, who played a huge part in training her in the art of professional wrestling.
Duggan vs. Rourke It's been said that Mickey Rourke was friendly with the wrestlers when he was in attendance for Wrestlemania 25.
Well, it has now been revealed that he wasn't friendly with every single wrestler.
Through his blog on WWE, Jim Duggan has revealed that he was involved in an incident with the veteran actor.
Jim Duggan and his family were staying in the hotel with the other wrestlers. He bumped into Mickey Rourke and two of his associates (believed to be bodyguards). An unfriendly verbal exchanged occurred between Jim Duggan and Mickey Rourke.
According to Jim Duggan, Mickey Rourke came off like a "big shot".
Mickey Rourke's associates stepped in before a physical altercation between Jim Duggan and the actor could happen.
On a side note, Jim Duggan also had a chance to meet Kid Rock during Wrestlemania 25 weekend. He had nothing but good things to say about the singer.
Backstage Heat on Rhaka Khan If you're a gambler, then put your money on the table against Rhaka Khan winning TNA Employee of the Month right now.
The 26 year old wrestler from Chicago, Illinois has been causing quite a bit of controversy backstage in the TNA locker rooms.
When you take a look at everything that is happening backstage with Rhaka Khan, it would make a lot of sense for the producers of the Jerry Springer Show to make some preliminary phone calls to Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett.
There was an incident between Rhaka Khan and Roxxi Laveaux that led to the popular Knockout being released by the company.
During a battle royale match on TNA iMPACT!, Rhaka Khan began to pummel Roxxi Laveaux with some stiff shots during the match. Roxxi Laveaux returned the favor with some stiff punches of her own.
Despite starting the incident, Rhaka Khan went backstage and complained to everyone within ear's reach about what had just transpired.
Roxxi Laveaux attempted to be the bigger person and tried to settle things. However, Rhaka Khan was not in the mood to hear it.
The two did eventually make peace with one another. However, both were suspended for 60 days. Roxxi Laveaux eventually ended up being released from the company before she could finish her suspension.
A lot of people are blaming Rhaka Khan for costing Roxxi Laveaux her job with TNA.
Roxxi Laveaux is not the only TNA Knockout that Rhaka Khan, a former volleyball player at Florida State Unviersity, has had problems with lately.
The former WWE Diva Search contestant has alleged that others have been stealing her clothes and damaging her other personal belonging (including a rumored laptop).
Many people backstage are simply shrugging off her allegations. Some are even laughing at them.
Rhaka Khan also had an incident with Madison Rayne. She was upset with Madison Rayne for being late for a spot, so Rhaka Khan, in turn, decided to kick her really hard in the head (which caused some temporary hearing loss).
Rhaka Khan's venom isn't only being felt by the other female wrestlers in the company. She has also unleashed on members of management.
Savio Vega recently got involved in an incident with Rhaka Khan. The former WWE star has been working as a backstage agent for TNA.
While Savio Vega was giving out instructions to the performers, Rhaka Khan repeatedly turned up her music in protest. When Savio Vega asked her to join the rest of the performers in the meeting, she verbally snapped at him.
The belief was that Rhaka Khan was acting up because she didn't feel that she was being booked well enough.
Rhaka Khan's relationship with Kurt Angle adds further complication to the situation.
While the two are no longer dating, the other wrestlers in the company believe that she still has stroke because of her previous involvement with Kurt Angle.
Publicly, Kurt Angle has blown off her complaints. He seems fully aware that it would be a negative thing towards him if he were to get involved in the politics of the situation.
