Booker T Returns to WWE
The hottest rumor in professional wrestling right now has Booker T leaving TNA and returning to WWE.
Booker T Returns to WWE
When Booker T walked away from WWE in October of 2007, many people were under the belief that he would never return. The former World Heavyweight Champion asked for his release amidst drug allegations and backstage behavior issues. Since WWE was so quick to approve his request to be released, it was believed that both sides wanted nothing to do with the other. When Booker T showed up in the rival promotion (TNA), it appeared as if he completely burnt the bridge with Vince McMahon and company. However, it's always been said that "you never say ever in the world of professional wrestling". Reports have surfaced that Booker T has been telling others backstage in TNA that he intends to leave when his contract expires later on this year. He has also informed people that he has options in WWE. Before the year ends, we could see Booker T return to WWE.
Another Bad Exit
Booker T's reputation received quite a black eye during his final days in WWE. He was labeled as a malcontent that had a drug problem. The label followed him to TNA, but the 44 year old Houston native was able to repair his reputation a bit by being really great in the TNA locker room. He even tried elevating guys like Robert Roode. Booker T also didn't try to force management into pushing him into the world title scene. During his entire tenure in TNA, he has never held the world heavyweight title. Wrestling fans are quick to forget certain things. His time served in TNA helped to rehabilitate his reputation a bit. Over the last few days, though, his reputation has come under scrutiny again. At the TNA iMPACT! tapings this week, Booker T caused quite a scene when he refused to put over Matt Morgan, who is currently in the midst of a push that will eventually see him become a permanent member of the main event scene. Some believe that Booker T is doing this because he knows that he's going to be leaving the company soon.
Not So Fast
While rumors are running rampant about Booker T making his return to WWE, it is not anything that is set in stone just yet. WWE desperately needs fresh faces in their main event scene, but Booker T might not necessarily be the guy that they want in that role. The recently released Umaga has been rumored to be a candidate to return to WWE as well. The company might not be willing to spend money on both guys. WWE might also opt to promote from within. Guys like Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, John Morrison and the Miz are obviously being groomed for a spot higher up on the card.
Guerrero Bashes Guerrero
The family feud between Vickie Guerrero and Eddie Guerrero's family apparently still is going strong.
During a recent interview with Chavo Sr, the man formerly known as Chavo Classic in WWE discussed his former sister-in-law. Through his words, it was easy to tell that there is still some friction from some of the family members towards the former General Manager of Smackdown.
In the interview, he states that Vickie has remained secluded from the family. She does not maintain constant communication with Eddie's family. This has been going on for quite some time now.
Also, in the interview, Chavo Sr stated that he does not believe that Vickie will be able to succeed as a manager in WWE. Vickie recently returned to the company as a manager for developmental wrestler Eric Escobar after taking the summer off to be with her daughters.
Ortiz vs Griffin
A new opponent for Tito Ortiz at UFC 106 has been named.
Forrest Griffin will step into the octagon to take on the Huntington Beach Bad Boy on November 21, 2009. The event will take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A replacement was named because Mark Coleman, who returned to UFC last year, was forced to back out of the fight.
Reports have it that injuries are the reasons why Coleman had to back out. However, that was not reason enough for Ortiz, who blasted the hall of fame fighter for backing out. Ortiz stated that Coleman backed out of the fight because he was scared to fight.

Lawler Not Doing Well
Fans who have been waiting for Jerry Lawler to leave the commentating booth are going to be extremely disappointed this week.
The former USWA Heavyweight Champion is said to be doing quite poorly in the race to become the next mayor of Memphis. Reports have surfaced that Lawler is currently in 5th place. He has 4% of the vote while the leading candidate has more than 50%. Unless a miracle happens, Lawler will not become the mayor.
Through his official blog, former commentating partner Jim Ross speculated that one of the reasons why Lawler is doing so poorly is because the city does not want to elect another Caucasian mayor and would prefer to have an African American mayor. Ross also mentioned that Lawler did not have a lot of funding for his campaign.
Lawler, who has won over 100 championships in his wrestling career (he owned the company), was expected to leave the Raw commentating booth had he been successful in his attempt to become the mayor.
Captain Lou Albano Dies
Captain Lou Albano, one of the biggest icons in the history of professional wrestling, has passed away at the age of 76.
Captain Lou Albano Dies
Word spread through the internet earlier this week that Captain Lou Albano's health was ailing. For a small period of time, the wrestling world banded together and shared the same concern. Today, that concerned turned to shock and sadness. Captain Lou Albano passed away at the age of 76 in Carmel, a town in New York which is approximately an hour north of his birthplace in Mount Vernon. He passed away at his home and was fortunate enough to be surrounded by his family. Wrestling fans flocked to various message boards to post their memories of the legendary manager. Even those that are too young to remember him fondly were giving condolences. Wrestlers and wrestling personalities also took to the internet as well. Many posted comments about Captain Lou Albano through the various social networking websites. It's a sad day in wrestling now that we no longer have Captain Lou Albano around.
His Legacy
Younger fans might think of Captain Lou Albano as a legend because they've been told to believe that. However, this is one of the WWE Hall of Fame inductees that is actually a certified superstar in the business. Captain Lou Albano transcended the wrestling business in much the same way that Hulk Hogan, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and Andre the Giant. He was one of the rare wrestling personalities that was even well known to people who didn't watch professional wrestling. After appearing in a few music videos with Cyndi Lauper, Captain Lou Albano helped the wrestling business secure a place in pop culture. Along with the emergence of Hulkamania, the birth of Rock 'n Wrestling helped bring the industry to popularity heights never seen before. Captain Lou Albano also has a rich history on the wrestling side of things. Those that know the history of the business need not be told just how incredible he was a heel manager who knew how to incite an entire arena. The stats on Captain Lou Albano is as impressive as it gets. What's weird, though, is that those stats don't even come close to doing him justice.
Mass Media Coverage
A lot of wrestling experts were surprised by just how much media coverage Captain Lou Albano's death received. All sorts of media outlet reported the death earlier today. It was positively refreshing to see just how well he was portrayed by the media. There appeared to be a universal respect for the man who once served our country as a member of the army. A lot of these journalists probably don't watch wrestling on a regular basis any more. However, it appears as if a lot of them used to watch wrestling wehn they were younger because the stories of Captain Lou Albano were transcribed as something that was still fresh on their minds.
Bound For Glory Results
Amazing Red defeated Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, Suicide, Homicide, and Christopher Daniels. Sarita & Taylor Wilde defeated Velvet Sky & Madison Rayne. Eric Young defeated Kevin Nash and Hernandez. Team 3D defeated Beer Money, British Invasion, and Main Event Mafia. British Invasion defeated Team 3D, Beer Money, and Main Event Mafia. ODB defeated Awesome Kong and Tara. Bobby Lashley defeated Samoa Joe. Abyss defeated Mick Foley. Kurt Angle defeated Matt Morgan. AJ Styles defeated Sting.

John Cena to Smackdown
The hot topic among professional wrestling fans this week is whether or not John Cena is headed to Smackdown after Bragging Rights.
John Cena to Smackdown
On this week's episode of Raw, the writers, the commentators, and John Cena went above and beyond to send home the point that the former WWE Heavyweight Champion could be on his way out of the brand. At Bragging Point, John Cena will challenge Randy Orton for the title. If he loses the match, then he will be forced to move over to the Smackdown brand (don't even entertain the idea that he would ever be sent to ECW). With that big pay per view stipulation and the emphasis on Raw, wrestling fans were left to wonder if John Cena will finally return to Smackdown.
Over the Top
It's easy to understand that WWE needed to sell the storyline pretty heavily on Raw last night, but for long time wrestling fans, it did feel like a bit of an insult to our intelligence. First of all, WWE did the right thing by having John Cena losing cleanly to Triple H last night. Sure, you want your top challenger to look strong going into the pay per view, but the lost was done to set the tone for his realization that he could have wrestled his last match on Raw. Everyone tried to make it seem as if a departure from Raw would be the end of the world. It wouldn't. He's still going to be a part of WWE. This isn't like he's leaving WWE to join another company. It's a marketing strategy that is aimed towards the fans with lesser intelligence. Those that know better are just going to shake their head and then brush it off.
Highly Unlikely
While it's not completely impossible, it's highly unlikely that John Cena would be moved to the Smackdown brand after Bragging Rights. Regardless of what anyone tries to say, Raw is the main brand in WWE. It will always be the main brand as long as Vince McMahon sees it that way. No amount of talk from the wrestlers, fans, or announcers is ever going to be able to change that. John Cena is the top star in WWE. A lot of people are going to want to disagree with that, but the fact is, Vince McMahon believes that. In his world, John Cena is the top star. Since his world controls what happens in WWE, that makes it a fact. So, the logical thing to do would be for the company to keep their top star on the top brand. Another thing to factor in is that if you take John Cena away from Raw, you lose out on a top babyface without a replacement in line. Triple H and Shawn Michaels are more than capable of taking over that role right now, but the company seems to favor them remaining as a duo. Merchandise sales for DX products have been doing well, and the company would love to milk it for as much as they can before it eventually ends. Guys like Carlito, Evan Bourne, Festus, Primo, Mark Henry, MVP, and Santino Marella are just not quite there at that level. Some of them will never be able to step into the top babyface spot.
Power 25 Divas - October 3rd 2009
25 - Beth Phoenix Last week, The Glamazon defeated Divas Champion Mickie James one on one. Phoenix followed that up this week by assisting Women's Champion Michelle McCool in her win over Melina Friday night.
24 - Hart Dynasty: Smith, Natalya, Kidd Getting caught off-guard on "WWE Superstars," Tyson Kidd was surprised with a loss at the hands of Cryme Tyme's Shad, seemingly bringing the trio's recent momentum to a halt.
22 - Alicia Fox Unfortunately for Fox, her tactics didn't work against Divas Champion Mickie James for the second week in a row, but she may be able to get the last laugh with a title win at Hell in a Cell.
19 - Michelle McCool In a ring surrounded by her fellow Divas, the Women's Champion gave everything she had with her gold on the line and, in the end, walked out as champion after defeating her rival Melina.
18 - Mickie James The Divas Champion got the momentum going her way heading into Hell in a Cell with a win over Rosa Mendes on Raw as the No. 1 contender to her title, Alicia Fox, watched from ringside.
Power 25 Divas - October 10th 2009
24 - Beth Phoenix Despite her team's loss in the first annual Diva Bowl, The Glamazon looked dominant in the ring once again as she devastated both Bella Twins at once with a vicious double clothesline.
18 - Michelle McCool After being on the losing team in the Diva Bowl on Raw, the Women's Champion stepped it up Friday night and picked up a win over fellow SmackDown Diva, Eve, in one-on-one action.
16 - Mickie James Not only did the Divas Champion successfully defend her title against Alicia Fox at Hell in a Cell, but Mickie also picked up a big win for her team on Raw in the first annual Diva Bowl.
Falling Off the List Hart Dynasty: Smith, Natalya, Kidd Unfortunately for David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd & Natalya, their loss on "WWE Superstars" cost the trio their spot on the P25.
Alicia Fox Fox was unable to walk away with the Divas Championship at Hell in a Cell and was pinned the next night on Raw in the Diva Bowl, causing her to fall off this week's list.
Power 25 Divas - October 17th 2009
22 - Melina In a shocking series of events, Melina was traded to Raw on Monday night and immediately defeated Jillian for the Divas Championship.
20 - Mickie James It was a tumultuous Monday night for the former Divas Champion. Not only did Mickie lose her title to Jillian, but she was also traded to SmackDown.
18 - Michelle McCool The Women's Champion was happy to see her rival, Melina, drafted to Raw this week, but she can't be pleased about SmackDown's newest Divas, Mickie James and Beth Phoenix.
Falling Off the List Beth Phoenix The Glamazon hasn't had a big victory in a few weeks. Perhaps things will change now that she's a part of SmackDown.
Almost Making the List Jillian - The tone-deaf Diva shocked the WWE Universe when she defeated Mickie James for the Divas Championship on Raw. Unfortunately, she lost the title to Melina moments later.
