Raw Discussion And Predictions Thread

Alicia won a battle royal two weeks ago to become the #1 contender and is facing Melina tonight. Can the A-List barracuda retain her title or will we see Alicia shock the world and take the gold? Maryse is due back soon as well so could we see a possible Maryse return tonight? What are your predictions?

My prediction: I think it'll be a 3 minute match with Melina retaining. I just can't see Alicia winning especially since Maryse is coming back though I really don't agree with Maryse going right back in the title hunt just like that so I would rather see Melina continue her feud with Alicia.

Melina with gold is slightly boring now.

I agree with what Mintrez said.

I think the match will be like 3-5 minutes, Melina retains and Maryse comes back. Unfortantly.

I feel this is Alicia's 2nd chance to shine,so they best not mess it up, her #1 contender run with Mickie was very short. They need to give Alicia a chance, she can do good things.

But I hope only Melina retains and her feud with Alicia continues. I Think Maryse should come back after SS or even in Dec sometime. Alicia is on Michelle's team not Maryse. I think Maryse needs to train more then a week before coming back. JMO.

Not only that I hope Melina gets a nice long run with this title since she was screwed out of a good run with the womens title last time.

With Maryse coming back hopefully they put her in a feud with Eve over Miz. Since Miz has a crush on Eve it seems and Maryse and Miz kinda had something going on before she left.

Yeah, it probably wouldn't make any sense for Maryse to return tonight since she's not in the SS match. She'll probably either return at SS and somehow cost Melina the match or return next week and start her feud with Melina which could explain why they're having this match so soon

You know Raw never gives the divas time. If they were on SD they'd be getting 5 or 6 minutes

Yep, Madison Square Garden so it should be a great crowd. I wish they'd treat the divas better too

You know what I used to like? Little things like when they announced the champion and the challenger inside of the ring, it made the division seem important Memories!

Kinda sucked that it was a lumberjill match since they're usually horrible, the match was only like what, one minute? I didn't see any botches though so obviously Jillian was the problem before. I'm glad Melina won with the last call and the diva brawl wasn't bad

YAY Melina won. Good ending. Awesome brawl. I thought the match was pretty good.

The match wasn't close to 3 minutes, I think it was still one minute but it definitely wasn't bad. It pisses me off when a match is decent like that then it just ends, I would've loved to see them get more time and maybe they would've if it wasn't a lumberjill match.

Seriously don't see Alicia getting another shot, I think it's done. If anything, Maryse will cost Melina the match at SS

So Melina mustve been watching shimmer again because now she is doing the Code Green as a finisher, ANOTHER of MsChif's moves. I swear to god, next week she'll be spitting green mist.

And Mischif didn't copy Tajiri's mist spitting? Mischif didn't create that move, so as far as I'm concerned, Melina isn't copying her...Now whoever made that move, thats a different story.

They just wanted to use all the divas so someone was like "Why'z not us makes it Luberzjill match fur all da fanz". I think most of us piss longer than these diva matches. All this build up for what again?

Maybe they could cut down on the rabbling rants of Vince, DX and many other's and actually have matches that go more than 3 minutes.

and in the end they actually wrestled a total of 60 seconds? i dont care about SS build up, i expected a real match.

Exactly. If they knew they didn't have to desire or capacity to allow them to actually put on a decent length match they could have been done with it overseas. Hell, do it at a houseshow then. But don't string fans along for weeks with Melina watching from the back like this is going to be one of the most anticipated diva fueds since Trish/Lita and than give the fans the middle finger. At least the Smackdown divas are kind of being given more time........which aint' saying much but better than this Raw crap.

If it was just that one move then Id agree with you totally. But this isnt the first time that Melina has copied something that MsChif uses regularly, so its hard not to make a connection.

Maybe she just idealolizes her.

Why is Melina the only one getting blamed for "stealing" moves anyway? Everyone does it, get over it

again, its not a crime to use other moves....if the creator of the move doesnt have something on it that says only he/she can use it, its not stealing. same goes for McCool using the Styles Clash...there was someone who started that move WAY before AJ did, but the marks have to bitch and claim she stole it

I'd hate to be rude.....but it was NOT Jillian's fault. It was all Melina, Melina, Melina! They just got lucky on Raw last night, I mean, why else did the match last a minute? They couldn't afford any mistakes.

Melina is annoying now.

I'm probably one of the ones that blame both girls, they fucked up three weeks in a row. They just dont mesh well and I noticed that everytime they fucked up, Hornswoggle had just come out. I BLAME THAT LITTLE FUCKER

Why is it that Alicia can bring Melina's move to look devastating, yet Jillian can't?

Im not saying MsChif created the move either.
But Melina does at least 2 other spots that I've only ever seen MsChif do, as well as the Code Green.

If someone does the Rock Bottom its not really ripping off the Rock. But if they start doing the Rock bottom, the people elbow, and the sharpshooter, well, thats a little different.

Again, Im not saying Melina cant do these moves because they're copyrighted, I just think its really lame and a crappy thing to do.

Yet Melina was doing just fine until she started having matches with Jillian. Why do you think they decided to have Alicia win and get a title match? Jillian kept fucking up so they needed to go with their other option, someone much better. They only got a minute last night because they're building that SS match Sunday, I thought that was obvious, had nothing to do with mistakes since Melina/Alicia have chemistry which we saw on SD.

I'm not trying to hate on Jillian but those botches were her fault, she's rarely in the ring anymore and wasn't even on Raw last night, maybe I should blame the bookers instead for not using her right. She needs to drop the singing gimmick and become more serious.

Remember when she was a face, and her match with Kristal? She was so good back then, doing crossbodies, etc.

That's the best thing about Alicia and Gail KIm for that matter, when they bump THOSE BITCHES BUMP! they go all out to sell the moves but Jillian took the move well when Melina started using it

I think Gail could bump the hell out of the Last Call.

Well jobbing to the likes of Kelly, Ashley, Candice (remember that three second match? , Maria, as well as always losing against Mickie or Melina did her absolutely no favors.

I'd love to see Gail take the last call. I think Katie and Alicia have taken it best so far

Bellas have stolen the Facebuster

Lets face it, Natalya is the only one who has probably got permission to use her finisher.
