Is Miz going the Cena route?

The Miz is getting pretty good and consistent heel heat these days, but he also gets pops - both during entrances and when he does his "I'm awesome" catchphrase. He gets a lot of promo time, compared to most of his recent predecessors as US champion, and he occasionally gets to call out heels even though he's a heel himself.

So I'm thinking, and bear with me folks, I'm not completely sold on it myself, but I'm thinking - is he getting a "Cena push"? Not like the Super Cena, but in the sense that he's studying for a Ph.D. in Thuganomics? I know he's not rapping, but he seems to be getting over as the same kind of cool, in your face heel that Cena used to portray. Right down to getting a run with the US title. Hell, he even had a brief altercation with the Big Show.

For your consideration:
1. Can the current Miz push be said to be a Cena-esque push? Do you think that's where the bookers got the inspiration?

2. Do you think it'll work?

Miz is a cornball. That is all.

I hope he dont get a Cena like Push. Cena was actually funny while Miz is plain out annoying, Sorry Blue and all Miz fans.

The Miz in the Main Event would be a breath of fresh air.

Will it happen? Hell no! The Miz has said himself that he isn't the most popular guy backstage cos of his past in Reality TV.

Annoying is right. I think if we look in the dictionary his photo will be right next to the word.

Real World Back to New York was actually good.

Yeah, but he has backstage heat because of his past anyways.

And some of the guys who worked their ways up through the indys don't like Miz or Morrison cause of Tough Enough.

The Miz is pretty, well, awesome. Right now he's one of the bests on RAW.. in my opinion, he's improving in the ring, and is.. "awesome" on the mic.. definitely see big things for Miz.

It does kind've remind me of Cena's original push, a little bit. I don't think management got the idea for it from there, as it really doesn't resemble Cena's original push that much.

Yeah, it definitely could.. as long as it doesn't get supercena like.

Miz is good at the mic. Miz is good at wrestling. But the gimmick of being a cockhead messes it up.

How do you expect someone like the miz to be in the main event?

because he is a great heel
his job is to piss ppl off so that they boo the shit out of him
the same can be said for CM Punk his gimmick is to piss us off with his endless bitching about ppl not being the same way he is

i couldnt see Benoit, CM Punk, Batista, John Cena or Randy Orton when they first started in WWE being MEers, but who knows
