Trig Palin isn't Autistic, he has Down syndrome. In the episode, Chris has a crush on a girl with Down syndrome; when the two go on their first date he asks her what her parents do and she tells him, "My dad's an accountant and my mom is the former governor of Alaska." So they were hinting that the girl's parents were Sara and Todd Palin, but made no real reference to Trig unless Trig suddenly changed genders and his name was Ellen.
