Kevin's Dance Countdown lol

Well don’t know who cares lol. But for the first time in History I watched a full season of So You Think You Can Dance and actually liked it. Well it was the dutch one but whatever. Anyways I’m going to count down my favorite top 25 performances before they they entered the top 10. So Show 1: Top 18, Show 2: Top 16, Show 3: top 14 and Show 4: top 12. Which in total is about 31 performances, so just tossing 6 of them aside lol. Plus my top 16 favorite Dance for your life. Before every performance I will give the dancers and their dancing style and the style they pulled out of the hat and had to perform.

Performance #25
Anyways I’ll just start with nr. 25 which is Nooi and Bruno. Many thought it would be a match made in heaven to have the eldest dancer Nooi, who was 30, with the youngest dancer Bruno who was 18. A real cougar that Nooi lol. Anyways this was their only worth wild performance from their 3 weeks on the show. The judges almost never had anything good to say about this duo. This was their first performance together. They had to do an old school Disco. And while the judges thought the Lifts were perfect, the performance lacked energy and didn’t seem as fun as it could have been, or they could have make it.

Dance For Your Life #16
Next up we have a Dance for your Life from Pablo, who had a stellar performance with Saartje and Season one, fell short to making it to the final 18. This time he made it but was eliminated by the first show. This was his Dance for your life.

Performance #24
Next up we have Saartje and Virgil. Well Saartje got a second chance after being eliminated the last show. But Virgil’s partner Marleen got injured less then 24 hours that this performance took place. So Saartje basicly had less then 24 hours to learn a new routine. The judges were impressed and told Saartje she took her second chance with open arms and really worked to earn her spot again, whil Virgil once again got the “You are an amazing Hip hopper” but sorry, you need to go. But to the judges dismay, thanks to the fans Virgil and Saartje were safe and wasn’t in the bottom 3. Because regardless if Virgil’s Dance for your Life was the best, the judges would have eliminated him.

Dance for your life #15
Next up we have Suzanne who was doing her second Dance for your life in a row, after being in the bottom 3 for the second time. Although like the week before, Suzanne was safe. Although it was her birthday and wanted as a gift not to be in the bottom 3, guess not being eliminated is also as good as a gift.

Number 23

Now at Number 23 we have two modern dancers who were paired luckily together. We have Evelien and Louis. In this dance they did the Samba. One of the judges though Evelien lacked shoes. Which fits the latin style. You’ll notice through the show, we’ll see different sides of Evelien. Anyway, here it is

Dance For Your Life #14

Now the next Dance for Your Life is by hip Hopper Remy, this was right before the last show to determine the final 10. Luckily for Remy in his first Dance for your life, he was safe.

Number #22

Next up we see Virgil again, this time with his original partner Marleen. Marleen already replaced a contestant who had to leave due to personal issues. The judges found Marleen performed amazing, and was disappointed she had to lead Virgil through the dance sometimes, but Virgil left a lot to be desired. Although they recommended e should compensate and help his partner when they get a style closer to his. But hey, we got to see Virgil look like an adorable teddy bear and that of course earned them loads of votes.

Dance For Your Life #13

Lastly we have a Dance For Your Life, from Saartje, this was one show before her elimination. Though this little Hip Hopper got a second chance and worked her ass off.

Number #21
Now at Number 21 we have the couple that started it all and was the first performance of the first live show and they pulled it off. The judges told Els, they never saw her as “sexy” but she pulled it off and looked hot. Although I think the Cha Cha Cha is not the first dance you’d want to start out with.

Dance For Your Life #12

We have hip hop youngster Bruno with his first Dance For Your Life performance. It was down to him and Pablo and luckily Bruno was safe.

Number #20

We have Louis and Evelien again and this time she is playing Cinderella. Yup she’s doing a lot of role playing, to make things worse, they pull out a Dance like, the Slow Foxtrot. Yes I said it, it wasn’t one of those popular dances like hip hop or whatever, but it was a stellar performance non the less.

This was Evelien first Dance for yourlife. Evelien is well really flexible as you can see, I’m sure loads of guys liked that.

Number #19

Suzanne and Samuel wanted to bring Sexy back. Maybe they did with this routine, and trust me, Modern and Hip Hop Lyrical and Hip Hop fast practically dominate the rest of the countdown. Although we have a few jazz Routines, and a Tango and Ballroom routines to go, get ready for a Modern and Hip Hop overflow, starting out with this Hip Hop Routine by Suzanne and Samual.

Dance For Your Life #10

Well after Saartje returned because she was sent home because her last Dance For Your Life, was according to the judges “Good” but they’ve seen that side of Saartje already, Saartje getting a second chance due to Marleen’s injury made sure she came back with a kick ass Dance For Your Life, well enough babbling here is Saartje:

Number #18

Lastly we have Oona and Remy, well Oona was partnered first with someone else, but got injured on the first show, so on the second show, Remy was called up to take his place and this hip hopper got himself in some doo doo, having to do a Jazz Routine on his first night, which isn’t his style to begin with.

Number #17

Well we have Louis and Evelien again. These two were two modern dancers who luckily pulled out a Modern performance, but this didn’t come too easy too these two, as their choreographer pulled out all the stops and gave them a very difficult routine, though, the duo pulled it off.

Dance for your life #9

Though Samuel Tried, this ended up being his first and Lance Dance for your life. He was eliminated so quickly. But seemingly the Hip Hoppers were dropping like flies after he left. In this order, Samuel, Bruno and Virgil left, in the same order. No love for the Hip Hoppers huh?

Number #16

We have Ooan and Remy again, doing a Hip Hop Lyrical doing a touchy subject, which was domestic violence, and the judges said the choreographer took a risk letting Oona start and end the routine, since because of the duo Remy was the Hip Hopper. But they pulled off a good show. Also the emotional aspect of the performance having to act and dance, before the routine Remy had issues having to slap Oona, he told the ladies at home, he’s a quiet guy, not violent at all.

Number #15

Shobian and Kris was called a choreographers dream after this performance, saying, they just mesh soo well together it is insane. Although their was a slight mess up in the routine, it was not visible and just still stellar, it was good tango, and you gotta enjoy a good tango.

Dance for your life #8

Virgil just let loose with this performance because he was going to be eliminated regardless if it was good or not. The judges already thought he had to go home the show prior to this but the fans saved him, second time around he lucked out and was in the bottom three and it was bye bye virgil.

Number #14

We have Oona and Remy again, this time doing a rumba, the only reason to watch this performance was because Remy was shirtless. Nuff said.

Number #13

We have the Power Couple Angelo and Els who after this performance was dared by the judges to do the chicken dance and make it look good. Why? They did the quickstep and just tore the house down. Anyways here is Angelo and Els

Dance for your Life # 7

Well we have Michael first Dance For Your Life, and trust me we have more Dance for your lifes from Michael, not only did he do the most Dance for your life, but he also had the most partners and was known as the partner of death after both is partners Rubien and Saartje got eliminated, for his luck, he and Suzanne Partnered and lasted 2 show. And one of them they had to do a Dance for your life.

Number #12

This was Lorenzo’s first and only performance since he got injured during the performance and Oona got a new partner, that’s were Remy came in, but don’t worry, the judges gaurenteed him a spot in the top 18 in the next season. But his knee just popped out of place. Keep in mind, in the auditions Lorenzo broke his toe, while Oona had a rib injury this was a prone couple made in heaven.

We have Shobian and Kris again doing a Jazz Performance once again, flawless and great as usual.

Dance for your life #6
We have Evelien again with another great Solo. Showing her great flexability once again.

ANumber #10

We have Virgil and Marleen doing a Hip Hop Lyrical. Virgil kicked ass as expected and the judges were happy with Marleen’s hip hop performance, they said yes she could have been a little more rough but she did what her choreographer asked her to do. This was a good performance and again great camera work near the end shifty
