Raw's Division/Booking Discussion.....

I couldn't really think of a title for this, so I just went with what I could.

First, I'd like to say, that for years, I was always a fan of Raw. Raw was the "It" show, and the Divas were booked properly. Whether there was short matches or not, there were still storylines. As of right now, its shit. Clearly, that'd be stating the obvious, but think about it.

Is there really a reason? Yes, WWE doesn't care, but wait?? Then why do the SD Divas get booked properly? You see, it took some time, but SD built up a division, and its something the fans are caring about, because its making since, but then over on Raw......ick.

Its not even a problem with who's being pushed, because I'm sure if Eve/Maryse were built around a nice storyline, and something meaningful, things might work, but clearly thats not happening. We have to accept that WWE isn't going to push Jillian, Gail, Katie, or Alicia far enough for a title reign, unless on Smackdown. I for one, do not understand. If SD can be booked, why can't Raw? I mean, isn't that the show Vince cares most about?

I don't know, I just wanted to see people's thoughts. These 2 second matches are bullshit, and really disappointing, but then SD airs, and we get something, so why doesn't Raw do it? Until then, SD owns.

I think SD has the better writing team. Micheal Hayes is on SD and I hear hes a big fan of the womens divison and is very high on Beth. SD has more girls who can actually wrestle. The only thing I dont like about SD is Michelle always being in the title picture, but they need to push new girls on Both SD and Raw.

Raw is about Cena, Orton, HHH, and them, I think they see they sell more then the divas, so they will feature them more insted of the divas.

I wouldnt give credit to one diva for making it better or worse. I think its an effort put in by a lot of people including the divas themselves.

Why the fuck is Melina a face? For awhile (back during Beth vs. Melina) it was ok, but now its the most stupid thing ever. I know she's injured and all, but when she returns, maybe she should come to SD as a heel.

I would like to say draft Lay-Cool to Raw, but then they would just be ruined I'm sure. They wouldn't be taken as seriously there, they just wouldn't.

Melina needs to be a heel asap. That was a great thing the division had going awhile back.

I think the main issue is that Vince doesn't give a shit about the divas as much as he did back in the early 2000's. Once Lita and Trish left, things started to get worse for the ladies. That was until Michelle McCool came along, say what you want about the bitch but without her backstage pull I doubt the SD roster would be anything great either. Raw used to be the A show for the ladies but now I see it like a demotion. Alicia, Layla, Maryse, Melina, Gail Kim, Eve Torres are GREAT examples of girls that were used to their fullest potential on SD but get treated like crap on Raw. I've been very vocal about this but I think the only way the division can be saved is if Michelle goes to Raw, she goes to Raw and the division will be treated better, meanwhile over on SD the same bookers will still be there so it's win/win. This draft coming up will truly be interesting.


Vickie Guerrerro working with the ladies is another great thing to happen to the ladies in a long while, Layla and Michelle are now OVER because of Vickie. Beth is quickly becoming one of the most popular faces because of Vickie. Whoever thought of putting Vickie with the divas deserves a raise

Yes, and so many people complain about Vickie getting involved, but its one of the greatest things. Its gets people to show interest, and clearly, no one can stand Vickie, so what better way to get someone over then to associate with her??

In a way I agree with you about Melina, Silverz. I wouldnt mind her being sent to SD and turn heel after she comes back. She can come back face but after a while turn her heel again. But I dont know if it will be as good as it was when she was heel, thats the only thing I have against her being a heel again. People will expect her to be as good and if she isnt booked to do as much as a heel like she did before people will whine and complain about her even more. I will like to see her feud with Gail, that will be a good feud for SD. Send Gail to SD.

I do give some credit to Michelle for helping out but I doubt it has ALL to do with her. I wouldnt mind her going to Raw, in fact I will like for her to, it will be something new, but she needs to be out of the spotlight for a while and let others have their turn.


I agree with yall, Vickie is the best thing about LayCool. Michelle is kinda dull in the personality department, so Its good that Vickie is like the mouth piece. And she has helped Beth a lot.

yes exactly. Smackdown is now the better show, the matches aren't anything nearly as good as the Ruthless Aggression era but i'm still interested. the Beth face turn was done brilliantly as well as the whole Piggy James storyline. McCool and Layla were getting great heel heat from it and adding Vickie Guerrero was a nice idea. Beth has now reached Mickie and Melina's level of popularity because of that and Tiffany is also doing well. i love Layla right now, she's hilarious and McCool is quite good at commentary. the only thing i'm not really happy about is Natalya as a face. who will Beth feud with once she gets the title? she can't feud with McCool again and Layla isn't ready. i'm hoping the draft will refresh things, maybe move Jillian to Smackdown or Katie Lea even.

as for Raw the divas are good over there. whenever they get a match on Superstars, they deliver. Gail, Katie Lea, Jillian and Alicia are all established anyway but Kelly and Eve are quite talented as well. Kelly had a match with Jillian a couple of months ago on there and she was great. nothing on the level of Trish or Lita but still solid enough. i'd like to see her get a run with the Divas belt. it's really everything on Raw that's a mess right now, it's a circus over there. apart from Cena and Batista there is no storyline
