Twilight is spawning more than just sequels. The film seems to be inspiring new parents.
According to the Social Security Administration, Isabella (the full name of Kristen Stewart's Bella character) replaced Emma as the most popular baby name for girls in 2009. Among the boys, Jacob (the werewolf played by Taylor Lautner) retained its 11-year-run at the top of boys list.
A little more than 22,000 girls born in 2009 were named Isabella, followed by Emma, Olivia, Sophia and Ava, reports AP. Nearly 21,000 boys were named Jacob, followed by Ethan, Michael, Alexander and William.
What? No one's on Team Edward?
Edward posted only a modest rise of 11 spots on the list to reach No. 137, says the SSA, but Cullen (his last name) was the fastest rising name among boys, soaring 297 places to land at No. 485.
Politics also weighed in: The fastest-rising girl's name is a version of President Barack Obama's daughter's name, Malia.

| This doesn't suprise me, though it's pretty sad people can't come up with anything different. Get off the movie for God's sake. When people like this, they don't just "like" it, they have to obsess over it & it's idiotic characters. That Edward is yet another retard for little girls under 10 to drool over. | |
