Greatest Winning Performace of Best Supporting Actress

I went with Monique for some reason, I did see Chicago and Cathrine felt more like leading instead of supporting :ewwa:

I did see Dreamgirls and Jhud was great but she was barely on screen so um she aint getting my vote.

Never saw the other movies but I do know all of those ladies

Renee Zelwigger in Coldmountain, such an amazing movie and she did amazing.

Marcia Gay Harden deserved it. Although other strong contenders were Kate Hudson in Almost Famous and Judi Dench in Chocolate

In 2001, Kate Winslet in Iris or Marissa Tomei for “In the Bedroom” truly deserved this award. Not Jennifer Connely for “A Beautiful Mind”….though it was tough.

In 2002, Meryl Streep and ESPECIALLY Julliane Moore was snubbed. Like REALLY??? Julliane was amazing in The Hours while Meryl Streep was flawless in “Adaptation”. Even Kathy Bates in About Schmidt deserved this more then Catherine Zeta-Jones…..sorry this was just a HORRIBLE year.

In 2003 there wasn’t much completion with Helen Hunt in “Thirteen” being the strongest rival for Rene Zelwigger so this was a good year. Although not a strong group of performances.

In 2004, It should have been Laura Linney for Kinsey, BUT it was a great group and not to bothered with the winner.

In 2005, I had a HUGE issue with this one, after Catherine Zeta-Jones, Rachel Weisz has to be like the worse winner IMO. You had Amy Adams for Junebug, Frances McDormand for “North Country” and Catherine Keener in “ Capote” ALL were stronger and BETTER performances. Though Anne Hathaway was snubbed from even being nominiated for her role in “Brokeback Mountain”

In 2006 things got worse and IMO had the weakest group of nominees in a VERY long time. It really didn’t matter who won.

In 2007, I was pissed Saoirse Ronan had this shit HANDS DOWN in “Antonoment” and it didn’t happen. I was SUPER pissed tbh. Nothing against Tilda Sweton but Saoirse Ronan had to win this one. Overall one of the top 10 Best performances of the decade.

In 2008 it was aight, was hoping for Amy Adams but the winner did not bother me.

In 2009, I would have given it to Maggy Gyllinhaal or Ana Kendrick……BUT it wasn’t much of an issue that Monique won.

I think the only reason won for "Cold Mountain" was because she was snubbed the year prior for 'Chicago" lol

NO SHE WASN'T!!! SHe was like Fourth on the List if there was one person who got snubbed that year was Jullianne Moore, her performance in Far From Heaven was AMAZING, it was Jullianne Moore at her best. Though Nicole Kidman didn't deserve the win, i still think it should have been Jullianne Moore, i don't mind it much. The you had Selma Hayek in Frida, which again FLAWLESS. Then Came Renee for "Chicago" and then Diane Lane.

Rene was not Snubbed Kidman, Moore & Hayek all out performed her that year.

I know what you mean, I was rooting for Salma <3333 But I remember the race being between both Nicole and Renee, I believe they both won the Golden Globe and were split with the other awards (SAG, Bafta etc). This is partially why I think Renee won the following year (after already being nominated three times) so they gave her the win
