guy and necrophilia. That's not entertaining by anybody's standards.
That's just stupid and I never liked that stuff. For me, for them to go
family oriented, I'm all for it. It's family oriented but in this day
and age where you can still go out there and have kick ass matches. It's
still edgy, there's still great characters. I've got no problem with
it. I like it much better than the Attitude Era because I thought the
Attitude Era was just childish, dropping (expletive) on each another and
stuff. C'mon, that's not funny if you're five years old.

I completely disagree, the attutide era was more than just dildos and lesbians, they had epic matches and great storylines, and lots of people found it entertaining.

Okay. If you think so, can you name some of those epic feuds and matches? All I can think of is stuff with Taker, Austin, Rock, DX, and Mankind.

we actually had a legit tag team scene. for awhile wwe actually had women on the roster who could wrestle...not model-turned wrestlers bimbos..

there's so much stuff that the attitude era gave us that made it worth watching.

I recently downloaded and watched all of their In Your House's from that period and bah gawd if it wasn't hard to seat through most of it.

i watch streams from WWE 93-2005 almost daily. it was the best time period and no the original McCool doesnt qualify as an attitude era diva

Honestly the same people who cheer for Stonecold and complain about John Cena is pointless. Cause Stonecold,The Rock,and Triple H were always in the main event spot light just like Cena. Even when they didn't main event they had number one contender matches and stuff and would be back in the picture. Difference is people like there personality and could relate rock and stonecold more then they could john cena. I liked john cena when he was rapping and wanted him as world champion when he was rapping,

Now, everything is extremely censored. Daniel Bryan gets fired for choking someone with his tie while if it had been about 15 years ago, that just would've been a typical WWE hardcore style. No one would've raised an eyebrow at it.

lots of stuff in the attitude era cannot be repeated now because of the kid-friendly theme going on now and it makes WWE really boring.

the thing with Austin and the Rock...when they got their asses beat they made it look believable, when Cena gets beat up he gets back up a minute or so after it happens. also, Austin and Rock and guys like them NEVER constantly won on a weekly basis. if they lost, they lost

i dont like the rock or cena but that's one thing Rock had over Cena...there was always that chance Rock was going to lose. Cena seemingly never loses.

No i still disagree, it is the raunchy ness, the edgyness, the unpredictability, you watched it because you had no idea what was going to happen next. And they always managed to keep you hooked and you can't wait to see what happens next week.

FURTHER MORE, every angle seemed important, you mentioned SCSA, Rock & HHH...you forgot Hardyz vs. Egde & Christian vs. Dudleys.....you had Hardcore/Spike/Crash/Molly saga., you had T&A-Hardy's you had Jarret/Y2J./Chyna shit going on, you had 101 million angles and everyone cared. you had HHH/Test/Rock/SCSA main eventing but it didn't stop the Undertaker and the Ministry of Darkness of being an important part of the show, it didn't stop Tag Team Feuds, intercontinantal title matches were as improtant as Wolrd title matches.....everything mattered.

Right now....20% of the roster being used. The PPV's are usually 80% of Raw itself, aside from the Main event fued.....what other fueds are going strong on SD???

You can miss a raw or SD and really, miss nothing at all.

There is a reason why the NXT attack was insane....it came out of nowhere.....just imagine having that feeling every week. THAT is that the attitude Era was....you couldn't miss a raw.....you'd be crazy too....you d that now...and you really didn't miss much. WWE never had to do 101 drafts to get ratings, the never had to 101 3 hour specials to get ratings, now it is struggling to keep fans interested froma week to week basis.

i guarantee if this was the Attitude Era, Danielson would still have his job. instead they cant do shit cause theyre afraid theyre gonna piss off some sponsor or some congress knucklehead

My guess is they were really forced to go PG after Benoit Sucide that something the attitude era wasn't dealing with really Owen Hart died on the job and it was sad. Benoit murders his son and wife WWE was gonna be held accountable for that so they had to change there ideas to more family friendly then when Linda went to be on the school board they went more pg and it's gonna be worse you will never see a attitude era return because it effects too much with poltics shit wwe did in the attitude era might be used against her and Vince is gonna think of his grandkids if they want futures in poltics. So I expect this is what will be staying for a very long time.

Plus the attitude era backlash was worse because look what we were left and trying to rebuild cause alot of them wanted to become actors and go these different routes. The Attitude Era could be blamed for this pg era in that they didn't build up young stars I remember Billy Gunn as Mr.Ass was facing the rock and got buried in the feud. Some of it ain't bad writing it's that the star powers left cause they wanted actting career,modeling careers,and tv careers. Hell we were still suffering from attitude era with triple h,hbk,and undertaker matches because they didn't want to build up young stars really unless they road those star people's coattails to get up. They made 40 year old Batista one of there star people and choose Orton,Edge,and Cena. A lot of talent went unnoticed. Like R-Truth who was let go as K-Kwik. Now we are look at him trying to be build into a title picture attitude era did it right he would already be a star.

didnt they go PG like last year? i dont think the Benoit saga is what caused them to go PG...their main demographic is kids. also, Billy Gunn was going nowhere regardless of who buried him or not. the Attitude Era did produce a lot of todays great personalities:

I always thought the Katie Vick angle was sorta funny. Mae giving birth to a hand was awesome, I laughed when that happend.

It had some crazy strorylines. Now we dont get that.
