WWE Officials High On Diva, The Bella Twins' Future In Doubt

-- WWE officials are said to be "very high" on Divas Champion Alicia Fox. Her sister, Christina Crawford, is currently training in developmental. She made her Florida Championship Wrestling debut at last Thursday's live event in Tampa, competing in a Divas Bikini Contest.


-- With WWE's Raw guest host concept seemingly on its last legs, one company source said "things don't look good" for The Bella Twins.

Throughout the duration of the concept, the twin duo's screen time would hinge on the guest host of the week (due to their role as arm piece) and creative opting to sparingly use them in a wrestling capacity on Raw. In recent weeks they have been largely relegated to WWE's secondary show Superstars as a result of the concept being de-emphasized.

Florence Henderson, who wasn't even announced in advance on Raw, was the last guest host scheduled, though that doesn't necessarily mean she's the final one

Is it just me or does WWE have a "flavor of the month" syndone when it comes to divas they are "high on", before ultimately souring on them, first it was The Bella Twins(and look they're about to be released), then Eve, now Alicia......

As much as you think its a good idea now, its just another way for WWE to validate itself and its ridiculous habit to break up tag teams.

Honestly, I don't care if they are released. More room for talented wrestlers who get pushed out of the main roster or not get TV time because they need to show the Bella Twins hanging out with the guest host. I am also very happy to hear that guest host crap is finally nearing its end. They are about a year and a half too late though.

I think it is just to a point where either Bella is not marketable without one another. The way they were pushed and used, if one of them dissapears, or they break up the team and eventually get rid of the other, IMO people will cease to care about her. WWE worked it well when they split up Matt and Jeff Hardy, but lets face it, WWE will not be putting in the effort they did with them with the Bella Twins.

I think it makes sense that they're high on Alicia. She's been very impressive in her matches especially with Gail and I think they saw how much better she was getting and how bad Eve was sucking. When you're put in the spotlight you really need to bring it and Eve has only gone downhill IMO.

As for the Bellas being in danger, awesome!

WWE still needs enhancement talent. I honestly see her staying until she gets too old. She seems to have quite a secure posistion jobbing out. her release wouldn't surprise me, but I would be left to wonder who will take the full time duty to be the designated jobber for the other girls.

well it's between Gail and Jillian for jobber talent...as well as being filler for matches...

but if Raw is busy with Maryse/Melina and Alicia/Eve...Jillian and Gail are kinda stuck in limbo.

Jillian and Gail will just face each other on Superstars, we'd be seeing some good matches too. The Bellas are just ugh

I haven't seen what's so special to be high on Alicia Fox for. It's good that she's improved, but she's not better than say...Jillian.

WWE doomed the Bellas as soon as they put them on RAW and made them weekly escorts.

i think Eve is better than Alicia in the ring but i'm glad that both have been pushed this year. Eve was a good champion and if Alicia gets to feud with Gail next then Raw's division could become pretty strong

Name one feud where Gail was made the focal point, name one feud where Gail didn't lose most of the matches...name how many times Gail has won a title since being back in WWE. Guess what, you can't and why's that? She's a jobber

I understand why Ricky says Hi is saying Gail isnt exactly a jobber, a jobber is someone who loses all of there matches like Jillian. Gail acutally got pushed for the divas title against Maryse for a while and Gail defeated Jillian a few times so I dont think she is a jobber, I think WWE just dont want to push Gail.

Jillian has gotten a few wins here and there, yes...even won a title (for a total of 3 minutes )...that doesnt make her any less of a jobber though.

and Gail, hasnt even won a title since coming back to WWE, although winning matches here and there....so yes, Gail is a jobber to me, as well.

Jillian, Gail and Rosa are all jobbers in my book....doesnt mean i dont love them..but they are jobbers, plain and simple. only there to give other girls a rub....but not at all to be taken seriously.

Gail and Jillian are in the same boat. they are there just to give lesser experienced girls a rub. both have gotten wins here and there but they still remain in jobber status.

Gail Kim is certainly not a jobber. When you have competitive matches, and you actually win more frequently. Look at Chris Jericho, He gives plenty of talent the rub, and hes highly regarded. Jillian and Gail Kim aren't even in the same category. Gail loses from time to time in singles matches, but usually, when there is a tag team match, and a team she is on loses, she hardly takes the fall. Sounds more like protecting her more than jobbing her out to me.

Using Gail to make other girls look good and get good wins is useless if she is portrayed as a jobber, which she is most certainly not. The jobber term is thrown around way too liberally.

If you haven't noticed, WWE can't pull together a quality feud with Divas altogether. Not winning a title doesn't make you a jobber. Roddy Piper has never won a major title, and he is one of the most over guys of his time. and he is a highly regarded legend, and for good reason. Those points would convince me more if we where talking about something that doesn't involve Divas.

Because quite frankly, they put minimal effort into that entire division. I stopped caring about feuds with Divas when Mickie/Trish ended. Everything beyond that is essentially crap. If less focus was put on girls who are only good for looks, things would be a whole different story. Sign actual womens wrestlers, and I think you would see an immediate improvement in match work, storylines, feuds, and promos. That couldn't be more obvious, but I guess not, when we still have what we have.

you wont convince she is nothing more than a jobber until WWE puts some serious effort into her. and you cant say they dont put effort into Gail because they dont put effort into any of the divas because, if that were true, Alicia, Layla and Eve woudnt have held belts. So WWE does put effort into certain ladies to make them look credible...but other girls, Like Gail and Jillian, fall by the wayside unless one of the inexperienced needs a quick rub to look legit. therefore, they are considered jobbers in my book.

The problem with Jillian is, that the title reign was 5 minutes, probably less. And WWE may put titles on a bunch of different girls, and they run feuds with them, but most of the time, they aren't very good. But you won't see WWE running to change that anytime soon, because in the end, Divas matches are just something to keep the crowd from tiring themselves out and to keep their energy for higher profile matches and promos. I do not agree with that strategy, as if you put on a great card top to bottom, the crowd will be hot the entire time.

All in all, the women they were push aren't over for the most part, The girls they do nothing with seem to be over. Jillian's level of being over as a heel is disputable, but look at Mickie James. She was over her entire run on Smackdown, regardless of Michelle McCool and Layla were being used as tools to bury her. That shows you how fucked that division is. Charasmatic black holes such as Michelle get the push, and Mickie takes the fall. That is my main gripe,

And maybe if they let Gail Kim do what makes her popular, she wouldn't be relegated to her status in the company being argued over a forum. But maybe not, because being over in that company as a woman doesn't matter, you're probably gonna lose to someone who doesn't deserve their spot.

i'm thinking that time is long gone for Gail, which is disappointing. She is talented and I think she can easily get over if given shot, as seen in her TNA work as a heel and face. But WWE continues to pass over her.

and yeah you're right..overness doesnt matter in WWE when it comes to women...Michelle was coming out to crickets during most of her push yet WWE still allowed her to reign supreme on SD.

ok i'm late to the argument but i still don't believe Gail is a jobber. she ranks pretty high in the divas division. at the start of the year she was second in ranking behind Eve and in front of Kelly and the Bellas. notice how she won all her matches in the line up to the Divas title match. and Kelly took the pins before and at WrestleMania. and when Maryse was feuding with Eve it was the Bellas she was squashing. she lost to Alicia three times but she's still equal with her since she got the pin in that mixed tag match
