EXCLUSIVE: Friday Night SmackDown! To Add More Star Power To Roster?

Every single time we hear about WWE Friday Night SmackDown! making a switch to a different television network, it is always suggested and speculated amongst several individuals inside the Internet wrestling community that World Wrestling Entertainment will make a move to bolster up the roster to help attract viewers.

It happened when “The Worldwide Leader In Sports Entertainment” made the move from The CW to MyNetworkTV and it is no different this time when the chatter is at an all time high surrounding the roster of talent on the SmackDown! brand following the news that the program will be moving to the SyFy network very shortly on October 1st.

According to several online reports, there are indeed plans in place for World Wrestling Entertainment to add some “beef” to the roster on the SmackDown! brand moving forward to help draw in the ratings upon it’s arrival on the cable station that currently carries WWE NXT.

One name that has been speculated amongst many is the WWE United States Champion and WWE RAW Money In The Bank winner, The Miz. Many people seem to be pointing to the scheduling of “The Awesome One” for upcoming WWE Friday Night SmackDown! brand live event house shows in October, when they will make the move to SyFy.

It makes sense to many, since it is usually where new stars go to make the push for the main event and marquee championship title reigns, with key examples such as “The All-American American” Jack Swagger and “The Straight Edge Superstar” C.M. Punk.

Talking to sources inside WWE, a number of individuals relayed to me that it is “highly unlikely” that we see The Miz move over to the SmackDown! roster at this time but as always with World Wrestling Entertainment, things can change.

Also, many individuals feel SmackDown! lacks top face performers with the uncertainty surrounding The Undertaker‘s and Rey Mysterio‘s statuses from time to time and the lack of a top young “face” to build upon moving forward, so it wouldn’t make much sense to bring yet another young heel into the equation that already includes Swagger and Punk, as well as “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, “The Chosen One” Drew McIntyre, and WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler.

I think Miz should stay on Raw. Hes doing great on there, They should move people who will benefit from a move, those who NEED it.

Like Edge(though there are too many heels but he was better off on Smackdown, hes not getting much on Raw), John Morrison, Truth, Mark Henry-I wouldnt mind seeing him moved. I will also move Swagger to Raw. Trade him for Edge.

Girls wise I will move Gail and Jillian and move Tiffany to Raw and have her compete for the divas title.

I wouldnt read into Miz's SD show apperance, sometimes superstars appear on the oppisite brand at houseshows. Rey Recently appeard on a few Raw houseshows.

Swagger's been doing just fine on SD, so he can stay. Miz can stay on Raw too.
