| Subject: Smackdown TV ratings are in for Friday's show leading to live Super Smackdown Tue 30 Aug 2011, 12:05 am | |

WWE Smackdown on Friday, August 26 scored a 1.77 rating, down slightly from a 1.83 rating, 1.81 rating, and 1.81 rating the previous three weeks.
Smackdown's rating returned to the spring/summer water level when Smackdown averaged a 1.75 rating from May 6 to July 22 before Triple H took over as on-air authority figure.
Smackdown averaged 2.67 million viewers, which was down eight percent compared to 2.92 million viewers on Aug. 19. Smackdown has averaged 2.87 million viewers thus far in 2011.
On cable TV Friday night, Smackdown ranked #1 among males 18-34 in its timeslot. It was #2 and 3 among younger male viewers.
Among males 12-17, Smackdown scored its highest rating in seven weeks dating back to the first week of July and second-highest rating of the past three months.
It points to WWE benefiting from lesser competition on Friday nights and greater likelihood of being able to attract younger viewers. The counter is WWE has a tougher time maintaining adult viewership on Friday nights, as the males 18-34 and m18-49 ratings tends to fluctuate from week-to-week.
