Melina COMMENTS ON WWE DROPPING WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

WWE's Melina posted the following on her twitter account, http://twitter.com/RealMelina, regarding the WWE decision to drop the WWE Women's championship this week:

Maybe I will get in trouble 4 saying this but it never stopped me before,right? A lovely friend once told me, whenever u feel down about yourself & your career, just look at this http://www.wwe.com/inside/titlehistory/women/ . I did. From Fabulous Moolah to this year.... So many incredible women who are true Champions.... Hall of Famers!!! Pioneers held that title! When I looked at that page.... It was an incredible honor to see my name up there with all of them. People who I am a fan of & have memories watching when I was younger.

I held that title and was always picturing all these women holding the same title. It was a dream come true knowing my heroes touched this championship too. Now it's gone?

What a shame.

I'm a person that honors the past bcuz it's made me who I am in the present. It's a legacy to pass down for the future! Hall of Famers made that championship what it is. I feel like a piece of me as well as the memory of all the women who contributed to it's greatness is being put to rest with it. It's very heartbreaking. None of these women will EVER be forgotten in my heart. NEVER.

U could always imagine the last champion was Beth. She was the last person who SINGLY won, defended & held it.

It is a shame that they went withe Divas title and drop the Women's belt. The Women's title has a RICH history like she mentioned. The division is be shitted on by Vinnie and his guys. There should be much more talented women WRESTLING. IK he's all about entertainment... most of them fail to do that.

That's one of the reasons why I love Melina. No matter what she'll always be honest and speak her mind. Everything she said was true, the women's title had so much history and so many great women held it yet now it's gone and it really is upsetting.

just shows how much WWE doesnt care. there are plenty of lovely girls who CAN wrestle...but instead they want models.

Yeah that's the problem, even here everyone was raving for them to call her up because she was "the wrestler"...not knowing she less less years in wrestling then girls like Alicia Fox, Layla and Kelly...she's been around for almost 3 years now...she's no Queen in the ring....and people asume so because she's from the indies. It's only 2 years ago she made it big and was getting noticed...she's still VERY VERY VERY VERY new to the biz.

Jamie looks sexy to me but i still dont really give two shits about her.

Exactly because she was "the wrestler" not knowing she's been less years in the Bizz then girls like Alicia, Layla, Kelly, Maria, Michelle......But people love thinking that though....."The Wrestler" is supposed to be good and girls like Velvet Sky & Shelly martinez are perfect proof that that's not always the case

@Vix.....Looking at AJ for About two years in wrestling....and looking at Layla, Kelly, Alicia 4 years in wrestling.....I would say she's doing alright for herself.
