Colt Cabana Claims Bella Twins Threatened to Quit WWE at One Point

Interesting anecdote from ROH star, Colt Cabana on his latest Art of Wrestling podcast.

Cabana claims that while he was in WWE’s developmental territory a few years ago along with the Bella Twins, Brie and Nikki threatened to quit the company if they weren’t called up to the main roster.

During a discussion about his time in WWE with guest Joey Ryan, Cabana said: “They called up the office and said: ‘Hey, if we don’t go on the road we’re quitting’. And the next day, they’re on the road.”

He then added that he would have probably been fired for the same stunt: “I don’t wanna do that. If I call up and say, ‘Put me on the road or I’m quitting’, I’m gone.”

And there's me thinking WWE didn't value their Divas.

But of all the divas, it was the Bellas..

Damn they sure let them get what they wanted!

Depending on how soon they were going to bring them on the show or not might have had something to do with it but damn they sure made a gamble!

On one hand it is like they really care but then they are demanding so I don't know if I like it..

Sounds like sexism to me. Colt wouldn't have been able to do that just for the fact he was a guy. They got away with it because Vince likes to stare at their bodies. Whatever.

The story sounds a bit dodgy to me. I mean are the Bellas really that indispensable to the entire company that Vince will bow to their demands. Surely if that was the case they'd be multiple champions by now? On the other side if there's a little truth to it , good on them for fighting to get out there on the road.

If it was sexism, they would've been fired for even suggesting something like that. I believe it was because of the hype of them being twins, something different for the division and Vince didn't want to lose that draw. Them constantly going over Nattie/Victoria proves that.

There were some crazy fans but this guy just wanted Brie to say hello, lol. She could've waved or something!

Even that interview they had. Even though the interviewer was annoying, Brie's responses were just really meh...Their smiles on screen are so fake. I know people like them in real life.

Brie is the sucky twin anyway, there IS a difference. Nikki is better in the ring and she's got more attitude and charisma

I never knew they were rude to some because when I met them in late Aug 09 they were very good.

Probably two of the nicest wrestlers.

They literally signed EVERYTHING!

My grandma and grandpa who are not even wrestling fans got personalized autos on these nice pictures of them.

I don't have anything bad to say about them as people but as wrestlers I just hate their stupid switch and wish they won or lost matches other ways.

I guess they were leaving to work another corner and vince couldn't have that. And no I didn't read the article too many words. I'm saving my textually intake for Jesus Christ and holy bible! HALLELUJAH!
