Update on When CM Punk's WWE Contract Will Expire

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Raw star CM Punk's WWE contract is set to expire in September.

As we initially reported awhile back, there is no guarantee that Punk will be re-signing with the company, and speculation at this point is that he might be taking time off when his deal is up. Nothing has been confirmed, however, and we will keep you updated as this story continues to develop.

What is it with superstars wanting to take time off from WWE?

The scheduling is too much. I mean, in the past few years Tazz, Chris Jericho and Kaval have left because the shedule is too much for them. Admittedly, Jericho is slated to return, but still.

What's wrong with taking a break?

He's been on the road almost non stop for YEARS. He needs a break but he's the only reason I keep up with WWE.

Nothing. But many notable stars are all wanting breaks around the same time. You have to ask why sometimes.

He should probably take a break but it would be best if he came back right before WM although I think if he took a break after September he'd be gone for more than just 7 months.

It will kinda suck if or when he's gone but I can see why he is tired.

Roray, Punk will NEVER go back to ROH. why? because he's used to being in the big time, he's not gonna go back to a company that fills arenas that sits close to a thousand ppl. him going back to ROH would be a major downgrade

But it would be like being in home, I just hope he realizes that the company that made him could grow larger crowds if he was there...

its not gonna happen, youd never see a dude that was in the main event in WWE, back in ROH. it would bury the talent that theyre trying to grow right now, because a top guy is back "home"

he should keep the name CM Punk..since he made it his own BEFORE entering WWE so they shouldnt have any rights to it once he leaves.

Anyway I kinda hope he goes but at the same time I like him over overpushed losers like Mysterio and Cena...so it'd be bittersweet to see Punk go.
