TNA Impact Wrestling on Thursday, June 2 officially scored a 1.09 rating with a first hour 1.04 rating and a second hour 1.15 rating.
The 1.04 rating was the lowest first-hour rating of the year. It was dragged down by a 0.97 fourth quarter-hour rating one week after Impact scored a 1.25 rating in Q4.
The fifth quarter-hour to begin the second hour scored a 1.14 rating, down from last week's 1.49 rating in Q5.
Impact's peak rating came in the sixth quarter-hour with a 1.21 rating for the second-half of the Brian Kendrick vs. Kazarian match.
-- Impact scored a 0.84 rating among males 18-49. As we reported in Friday's Impact ratings report, Impact's male 18-49 demographic rating held up well vs. the previous few weeks and 2011 average despite going up against the NBA Finals. According to Spike TV, Impact scored the highest m18-49 rating on cable TV Thursday night during its timeslot.
First Hour Quarter-Hour Ratings Break Down
Q1: Impact opened below-the-show-average with a 1.06 rating for the ODB-Velvet Sky fight sandwiched in-between two Eric Bischoff backstage segments. Impact continues to underperform in Q1. The last five weeks have averaged a 1.08 rating compared to the 2011 average of a 1.24 rating. (Q1 down 14.2% vs. 2011 average)
Q2: Impact was essentially even with a 1.07 rating for Eric Bischoff in the ring calling out Beer Money, a commercial break, and the first-part of the Matt Hardy vs. Crimson match. (Q2 down 9.8% vs. 2011 average)
Q3: Impact was essentially even with a 1.06 rating for Hardy-Crimson part two, a commercial break, and multiple backstage segments involving Anderson, Bischoff, and Velvet Sky. (Q3 down 12.2% vs. 2011 average)
Q4: Impact dropped to a show-low 0.97 rating. The segment featured Angelina Love vs. Miss Tessmacher and contained two full commercial breaks. Q4 is TNA's lowest-rated quarter-hour of the year, averaging a 1.15 rating. (Q4 down 15.7% vs. 2011 average)
Second Hour Quarter-Hour Ratings Break Down
Q5: Impact opened the second hour with a 1.14 rating for the Mr. Anderson vs. Eric Young match, one commercial break, and the first-half of Kazarian vs. Brian Kendrick. (Q5 down 9.6% vs. 2011 average)
Q6: Impact scored its peak rating of the show with a 1.21 rating for the end of Kazarian vs. Kendrick and the post-match happenings. (Q6 even with 2011 average)
Q7: Impact dropped one-tenth of a ratings point to a 1.11 rating - the lowest of the second hour - for the A.J. Styles and Bully Ray confrontation. It was followed by one commercial and introductions for the TV main event. (Q7 down 5.6% vs. 2011 average)
Q8: Impact closed essentially even with Q7 with a 1.13 rating for the Angle & Morgan vs. Jarrett & Steiner match, one full commercial, and the beginning of the Bischoff-Hogan reveal with Mick Foley's firing in the over-run. (Q8 down 7.9% vs. 2011 average)
