The most recent WWE Smackdown on Friday, July 22 scored a 1.87 rating, up ten percent from a 1.69 rating the week before.
The Smackdown episode following the Money in the Bank PPV averaged 2.82 million viewers, which was also up ten percent compared to the previous week.
The overall rating was the highest in nine weeks dating back to the May 20 episode. The episode was still below the overall 2011 average of a 1.90 rating. Smackdown has not exceed the 1.90 benchmark since April 29.
Looking at demographic ratings, Smackdown fared well among younger viewers. The show scored its highest rating among males 12-34 & males 18-34 since Apr. 29.
On cable TV Friday night, Smackdown was #5 in overall viewers, #4 in males 18-34, and #3 in males 18-49. During its timeslot, Smackdown was #1 on cable TV among the key male demos and younger demos.
