Update on Melina (horseface) and Gail Kim

Diva-Dirt reports that the Women Superstars Uncensored promotion is negotiating with Melina (horseface) and Gail Kim, hoping to get them booked for the November 19th WSU iPPV.

Considering Melinas rep, I'm surprised any company would want to negotiate with her. Gail I can understand . She's a good talent who a lot of younger girls could learn from.

That's good for both of them, both are great talents and deserve to be appreciated

WSU is trying to reach Shimmer fame, they continue to be in their shadow.

So bringing in WWE names is something Shimmer has never attempted.

Yep, it's the TNA strategy, but it could work for them. Shimmer is tied to ROH so that's probably out for Melina, especially if WWE and ROH are working together behind the scenes. That could extend to Shimmer as well. If so, well... There might not be any worry aboout finding quality opponents for Beth and Nattie.

Shimmer already has an agreement with TNA when it comes to their DVD tapings.

WWE raids Shimmer once every 4 years and releases 99% of the women, and half of them don't even get called up.

Remember when they signed katie lea, Krissy Vaine, Shantelle Taylor, Beth Phoenix, Natalia all in one shot?

Shimmer has stronger ties with ROH, though. And, if and when it comes to it, who would it be better to be involved with, a company on the rise that's developing connections with the biggest wrestling company in the world (ROH), or one that's clearly in freefall and, unless there are some huge changes that turn things around 180 degrees, is headed out of business (TNA)?

C. M. Punk, among others, called it regarding what would happen to TNA once Hogan was on board. For those who thought Punk was just chomping at the bit to go back to TNA...

Shimmer IS ROH's sister promotion.

But Shimmer's deal with TNA is much better.

SHimmer can use talent's signed by TNA for a limited amount of DVD tapings.

While if Shimmer loses their girls to WWE, shimmer can't use them unless they are fired.

We don't know what WWE and ROH are working on at the moment. If it's some sort of talent sharing deal, then it could involve Shimmer. Punk, Beth, and Nattie could pop in at a Ring of Honor show, for example.

Meanwhile, TNA seems to be circling the drain. That Friday WWE released Melina and the others, TNA released a chunk of their office staff. Not a good sign.

i dont think WWE ppl would show up at a ROH show, except maybe Punk and Bryan. if anything, ROH guys show up on WWE programming

This doesn't surprise me at all. I "like" WSU on facebook. The day these two were released evidently they were contacted by a bunch of fans. WSU posted then that they would consider them if they contact the contact info for the divas. Personally, I think both could do well in the division. WSU has a lot of strong talented women and I think Melina and Gail could both do well.

As for Shimmer, I have said it several times on the threads, Shimmer needs to avoid these two. They are going to have way too high of a price tag and it would cause too many of the Shimmer girls to lose their spots. Besides, the Shimmer fans don't really want them there.
