Alicia Fox: Leading the pack?

WWE has been all about Kelly Kelly, The Bella Twins and Eve Torres the last few months as women regularly featured on WWE programming. While Beth Phoenix and Natalya are basically doing a “tweaked” version of Awesome Kong’s planned storyline. Many have to wonder, who will finally step up to the plate? With a potential Heel turn in either Kelly Kelly or Eve Torres, there is a small number of faces left in the company. With the way they have been talking about the article I also see a potential face turn in The Bella Twins. But oddly not here to talk about those 4 ladies now.

I’m here to talk about the one who’s been in the shadows for over a year now. Alicia Fox has been a real breath of fresh air when it comes to models turn wrestlers. Though she still has her minor flaws, Alicia Fox has proven time after time again that she could get it done in the ring.

This comes as to no surprise. Look back at her resume, Alicia Fox has wrestled some of the best names in wrestling in highly competitive matches. Women who have been part of the WWE and women who have never stepped foot in the WWE. From Beth Phoenix, ODB, Katie Lea, Serena Deeb, Jennifer Mae, Melody, Sosay, Roni Jonah, she’s wrestled and tagged with some of the best and everyone knows, experience is worth more than you could imagine.

When she moved to FCW, Alicia fox fist started out Tagging with Natalya eventually building up into this feud that the two had a series of singles matches. Their singles matches have gotten rave reviews and the two have always shown to work better together then most of her other opponents.

Alicia Fox had a short run as Divas Champion and is the first Diva of African descent to hold this championship. But when she was champion, is when she started to draw attention. Well for starters for her minor lack of mic skills, but also for the fact that she carried the division and brought a little honor to the Divas Championship. Like doing interviews and talking about how despite being “Champion” she was being ignored. I surely hoped this storyline could have went further because unlike all those title reigns which were about “jealousy” and “underdog overcoming the odds” Alicia’s reign was more about “I demand attention if not, I’ll get it done myself”

There are many people who have talked down on Alicia’s in ring abilities. I for one, actually thinks she’s got a whole lot of skill and with experience no diva can touch right now. She’s had one of the longest roads in WWE’s development territory’s, she had to earn respect with every match and at the end of the day, proved when given time and proper training some good could come out of it.

So I say, WWE, give this young starlet a chance to shine again, she’s been wrestling since the age of 20, she’s been wrestling some good matches constantly, she has a great look and great attitude, let her “SAVE US” from Beth and Natalya, I’m pretty sure, they won’t mind. They are one of the few reasons, she’s the great talent she is now. I’m pretty sure they thought her most of what she knows. Plus we already know she can be outragous, she did have to work with ODB for a few months and we all know, you can learn a lot from character developement from someone like ODB.

I think Alicia can do it. She's one of the better model-turned-wrestlers on the roster. she has got great charisma and she can hold her own in the ring. honestly i would have preferred her to be the top heel since she's so great at it but she could work as a face if given proper development and an actual storyline. i don't think she should win the title back just yet because i'd like Beth to dominate the division, then split up the DoD with Natalya staying heel and winning the title at WrestleMania. then bring in Alicia
