WWE Smackdown on Friday, August 17 scored a 1.92 rating, which marked the fourth consecutive show to round to a 1.9 rating. Through 33 weeks, Smackdown has averaged a 1.85 rating in 2012.
The Summerslam lead-in episode averaged 2.61 million viewers, which was down four percent from last week's show and the fewest viewers since July 13.
On cable TV Friday night, Smackdown ranked #6 in overall viewers, #1 among younger males, and #2 behind "Gold Rush" on Discovery Channel among adult males.
The demographic ratings were very similar to last week. The only significant decline was a 0.05 decline among adults 18-34 to the lowest first-run Friday rating since June 8. The only demographic that was up compared to last week was a 0.02 increase among males 18-49. | |
