10/21 Smackdown TV Rating: Recent Hot Streak Continues!

WWE Smackdown on Friday, October 21 scored a 2.18 rating for the final hype for Vengeance, continuing a recent five-week hot streak for Smackdown.

Smackdown averaged 3.11 million viewers, which was in-line with the previous week's average of 3.17 million viewers.

All demographic ratings were down compared to last week, except for males 12-17, which showed a slight uptick.

Overall on cable TV Friday night, Smackdown ranked #6 in total viewers, #2 behind ESPN's college football coverage among m18-34, and #1 among m18-49. Smackdown only trailed Nickelodeon program for top rating among m12-34 and m12-17.

Caldwell's Analysis: Whatever WWE is doing with Smackdown, it's working. There's no reason to change course from the current picture of Mark Henry as World champ and Randy Orton and Sheamus as top supporting characters.

it is nice to see that fans are still watching even though someone more people don't like that well is the main guy

I am happy they are doing well; who would have thought a Henry champ run would see the ratings actually increase?

I am not someone who attributes the ratings only to the world champ of that brand but it is a big part I guess.

I am not really liking SD more than usual but I have my favorites on SD especially Cody Rhodes.
