TNA Impact Wrestling on Thursday, November 10 leading into the Turning Point PPV officially scored a 1.23 rating off a first hour 1.25 rating and second hour 1.21 rating.
The second hour was boosted by a 1.28 quarter-hour rating to begin the hour, then Impact averaged a 1.19 rating in the final 45 minutes of the show.
Impact peaked in the third quarter-hour with a 1.35 rating for a segment that contained a Jersey Shore backstage bit, an X Division match, and a Knockouts backstage bit.
First Hour Break Down
Q1: Impact opened with the lowest rating of the show, a 1.16, for Robert Roode's heel turn explanation promo, James Storm's emergence, and Sting's involvement setting up the main event. There was also one commercial break. (down 2.5% vs. 2011-Q1 average)
Q2: Impact increased to a 1.24 rating for Crimson vs. The Pope, one commercial, and Gunner vs. Garrett Bischoff. (up 6.1% vs. 2011-Q2 average)
Q3: Impact peaked with another increase to a 1.35 rating for a Jersey Shore backstage bit, one commercial, Jesse Sorensen vs. Zema Ion in an X Division match, and Karen Jarrett backstage with the Knockouts. (up 14.6% vs. 2011-Q3 average)
Q4: Impact declined to the Q2-level with a 1.25 rating for Gail Kim & Madison Rayne's KO Tag Title defense against Velvet Sky & Mickie James. This segment also contained two commercial breaks, which dragged down the rating. (up 10.4% vs. 2011-Q4 average)
Second Hour Break Down
Q5: Impact increased slightly to a 1.28 rating to begin the second hour with a segment that included Sting checking on James Storm backstage, Ronnie from Jersey Shore's in-ring debut, a Jeff Jarrett backstage promo, and one commercial break. This was the second-highest-rated segment of the show. (up 3.3% vs. 2011-Q5 average)
Q6: Impact declined to a 1.19 rating for a Mexican America-Ink, Inc. backstage brawl, the Bellator COO joining the show, A.J. Styles vs. Daniels, and one commercial break. (up 2.0% vs. 2011-Q6 average)
Q7: Impact declined slightly to a second-hour-low 1.17 rating for the Turning Point line-up, a commercial break, and the first-half of the Immortal vs. Team Anderson six-man tag match. (up 1.8% vs. 2011-Q7 average)
Q8: Impact increased slightly to a 1.20 rating for the second-half of Immortal-Anderson, a commercial break, ring intros for the "main event," and the Beer Money match/angle that set up Roode vs. Styles at Turning Point. (up 0.6% vs. 2011-Q8 average of a 1.19 rating to close Impact this year.)
