Goldust Wants Match Against Cody At WMania 28; Details

Goldust has recently taken to Twitter, and is campaigning for a match against his brother Cody Rhodes and next year's WrestleMania 28 event. Goldust posted the following Tweets:

"With your voices heard to @WWE, goldust vs cody at wm28.....ic title versus career. For the haters can hope i lose to cody and retire, teamgoldie can hope for an ass whoopin for the ages and new ic champ."

"Here's the deal.....the fire in me is too strong to lose to my move stealing lemmule of a brother....experience everytime."

"His ic title .....my career.....i would whoop him, take back My ic title and shatter all his dreams. Only teamgoldie can make this happen...u know how much it means to me."

Don't see it happening, but wouldn't mind it one bit.

That's unlikely. Goldust is at the end of his rope and Cody is on the upswing of his career.

It's been done before (Hardys) but I wouldn't mind seeing this.

That was a mimic of Bret vs Owen imo. There was history leading up to those matches. That's what made the buildup unique and intriguing.

It would be great. Goldust peaked around 1997/98 when he was an IC contender. I miss his old promos.

He was also really good in 2002. He was the Santino of a decade ago. Underrated in-ring performer; hilarious.

an angle, given enough time to build, can be amazing. doesnt matter if its Goldust/Cody, if the promos hit a home run, the angle is basically a success
