Adele, Lady Gaga or Katy Perry for Pop Solo Grammy?

After six losses, Katy Perry could finally win her first Grammy for "Firework." The tune, which also contendes for Record of the Year, earned her a fourth consecutive bid for solo performance. While she lost the last three pop female performance races for "I Kissed a Girl," "Hot N Cold" and "Teenage Dream," voters may finally fete her this year. After all, "Firework" was one of five songs from her disc "Teenage Dream," nodded for Album of the Year last year, to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

However, Perry faces some fierce competition. Before the Grammys merged Male and Female Pop Performance categories into this gender-neutral category, Adele won for "Chasing Pavements" (2008) and reaped a follow-up bid a year later for "Hometown Glory." She contends for "Someone Like You" which sat atop the Hot 100 for five weeks. The sparse, wrenching ballad will be tough to beat.

Lady Gaga triumphed last year for "Bad Romance" and now contends for the Mutt Lange-produced "You and I." Grammy prognosticators were baffled she did not submit "Born This Way" or "The Edge of Glory" instead as "You and I" was a much lesser hit. At least the track offers an impressive vocal from Gaga, though she's unlikely to repeat.

As the only male in a category full of female singers, it's easy for Bruno Mars to stand out. His #1 hit "Grenade" is also up for Record and Song of the Year. He won Best Male Pop Vocal Performance last year for "Just the Way You Are," but this time the award surely belongs to one of the ladies.

Pink contends for a fifth time for her solo vocals with "F***in' Perfect." None of her previous bids -- "Get This Party Started" (2002), "Stupid Girls" (2006), "So What" (2008) and "Sober" (2009) won. Unfortunately for this pop rock singer, she will likely lose yet again.

I think Adele will win this one.

Adele will win though....

Yeah P!nk has not gotten nearly the recognition she should however even saying that I don't think she should beat Adele.

If this was a different year she should probably be one of the top 2 though.
