Last October, I agreed to have some photos taken of me for the usage of my university, The University of the Highlands and Islands. About 6 weeks ago I received an email asking if I would permit the usage of one of the pictures as a still image in a TV advert. Yesterday, that TV advert aired for the first time. So for a brief three seconds, my face was seen across the United Kingdom (or at least across Scotland). Now earlier today, I received a phonecall from my girlfriend, who was a little scared. It turns out she had a copy of my uni's prospectus (as she is planning to spend the next year doing one of its courses) and when she turned to the Arts and Humanities setion, she found me staring out of the pages at her.

Whilst it doesn't actually make me famous, its pretty cool to know that I'm in a national advert for my university :D
