Report: Current Relationship Between Edge and WWE

PWInsider.com is reporting the relationship between Edge and WWE contains some friction.

As it has been reported in the past, WWE has offered Edge legends contracts but he's refused to sign. The first contract reportedly was insulting to Edge because of how low the amount of money was that the contract was worth.

The reports also claim Edge is getting some heat for his girlfriend Beth Phoenix leaving WWE. The belief is part of the reason she is leaving is for the sake of their relationship.

Edge is also booked for the highly publicized show House of Hardcore, promoted by Tommy Dreamer. Edge taking this high profile booking and doing media for the event has also rubbed WWE the wrong way.

WWE is expected to continue working with Edge from time to time in the future, but there still seems to be some unhappiness on WWE's end for Edge doing his own thing.

Edge isn't under WWE contract, he's allowed to do whatever the hell he likes, with or without WWE's approval. They don't like, they can't go f**k themselves.

He allowed WWE to modify his contracts to a Legends one when he was medically forced to retire, but had planned to not resign anyways. He still makes appearances with WWE from time to time but if he wants time to himself, or wants to appear on another show, thats his choice, not WWE's. And I highly doubt Beth Phoenix letting her contract expire is anything to do with Edge. It is her choice, and there's no confirmation she's definitely leaving. For all we know, she might re-sign the day her contract expires, much liek CM Punk did at Money in the Bank last year.

I understand Beth Phoenix leaving WWE is her choice so that Edge doesn't have to go through rehab alone. Edge didn't ask her, she chose. And I also understand its not a permanent departure, and that she intends to return if she can.
