The HBO docudrama "Game Change" leads the Golden Globe nominations for TV with five bids, including Best Movie/Miniseries.
Directed by Jay Roach, the film about the 2008 presidential campaign also earned nominations in every eligible acting category: Movie/Mini Actor (Woody Harrelson), Movie/Mini Actress (Julianne Moore), TV Supporting Actor (Ed Harris), and TV Supporting Actress (Sarah Paulson).
Last year's Drama Series winner, "Homeland," leads all series with four nominations, including repeat bids for Drama Series, Drama Actor (Damian Lewis), and Drama Actress (Claire Danes), as well as an addition nod for TV Supporting Actor (Mandy Patinkin).
"Modern Family" is nominated for three awards: Musical/Comedy Series and supporting nominations for Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara. Interestingly, the ABC comedy, which wom last year's top prize, has earned the exact same nominations for the past three years.
Often known for welcoming new shows, the Golden Globes gave freshman comedy "Girls" nominations for Musical/Comedy Series and Musical/Comedy Actress (Lena Dunham). Another HBO series, Aaron Sorkin's "The Newsroom," earned nominations for Drama Series and Drama Actor (Jeff Daniels). And ABC's country-music soap opera "Nashville" earned a pair of acting nominations: Drama Actress (Connie Britton) and TV Supporting Actress (Hayden Panettiere).
The Globes are presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), made up of journalists who cover the American film and TV industries for outlets around the world. The nearly 90 current members of the HFPA represent more than 50 countries.
The winners will be announced live on Sunday, January 13, on NBC. The ceremony will be hosted for the first time by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who both received Globe nominations today for their respective performances on "30 Rock" and "Parks and Recreation"; Fey is a two-time winner, while Poehler is nominated for the second time.

| http://www.goldderby.com/news/3736/golden-globes-golden-globe-awards-nominations-snubs-tv-entertainment-news-13579086.htmlGolden Globe TV snubs: 'Mad Men,' 'American Horror Story: Asylum'While the Emmys are usually set in their ways, the Golden Globes have made a habit of selecting what's new and trendy when choosing their TV nominees and winners. This year is no exception with the inclusion of new programs like "Girls," "The Newsroom" and "Nashville" (Read full report on nominations here and see full list of nominees here.)But the Globes' affection for what's new often results in much turnover year-to-year and several unexpected omissions. The biggest shock is the exclusion of "Mad Men" from the drama series race; it won this award three years running (2008 - 2010). The HFPA also passed on the second seasons of "American Horror Story: Asylum" and "Game of Thrones." Reigning two-time Emmy champ Julie Bowen ("Modern Family") was snubbed again this year. Also MIA: Emmy winners Jon Cryer ("Two and a Half Men") and Aaron Paul ("Breaking Bad").
