Does Garth Brooks have a 10-gallon ego to match his 10-gallon hat?

Lisa Sanderson seems to think so -- and she wants $425,000 for the problems it caused her.

A former producer who left her job to help land Brooks TV and film work back in the '90s, Sanderson claims that she missed out on producer fees and other income because Brooks repeatedly turned down opportunities that he felt didn't suit a star of his great stature.

In the legal documents, excerpted in The Hollywood Reporter, Sanderson calls Brooks a "paranoid, angry, deceitful and vindictive man who will turn against those closest to him on a dime."

Case in point: Sanderson alleges that during a development meeting with Fox about a Brooks-centric project the network very much wanted to produce, Brooks lied and said his father had died. The project was eventually canned, Sanderson says, because the singer wouldn't share his music publishing with the network.

Another time during their professional relationship, Sanderson claims Brooks refused a role in "Saving Private Ryan" because "he wanted to be the star and was unwilling to share the limelight with ... Tom Hanks, Matt Damon and Edward Burns."

But at least Matt Damon is an attractive, accomplished human being. According to Sanderson, Brooks bailed on a chance to appear in "Twister" because the lead role was going to ... a tornado.

Suing on grounds of fraud and breach of oral contract, Sanderson is demanding $425,000 to cover punitive damages and unpaid salary and bonuses.
