Jay-Z Leads Grammy Nods With 9; Macklemore, Timberlake, Lamar, + Pharrell Get 7 Top-grammy-nominees

http://www.goldderby.com/news/5154/grammys-jay-z-timberlake-macklemore-pharrell-news-29384751.html

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis broke through in a big way at the Grammy nominations, picking up seven bids, including Album of the Year ("The Heist"), Song of the Year ("Same Love"), and Best New Artist.

Justin Timberlake also earned seven nominations, though he was surprisingly shut out of the general field, where he had been expected to win Album and Song of the Year by our predictors.

However, it was Jay-Z who topped all artists with nine nominations in various categories, though, like Timberlake, he was left out of the general field.

Pharrell picked up seven nominations of his own, including Producer of the Year and various nominations for collaborating with Robin Thicke ("Blurred Lines"), Daft Punk ("Get Lucky"), and Kendrick Lamar ("Good Kid, M.A.A.D City").

Lamar earned seven nominations, including Best New Artist and a surprise bid for Album of the Year ("Good Kid, M.A.A.D City").

Daft Punk is up for four Grammys overall, including Album of the Year ("Random Access Memories") and Record of the Year ("Get Lucky").

Taylor Swift picked up four nominations, including Album of the Year for "Red." She won that category three years ago for her album "Fearless."

Bruno Mars is also up for four awards, including Record and Song of the Year for "Locked Out of Heaven."

Lorde is also up for Record and Song of the Year ("Royals"), among her four nominations. However, she missed out on Best New Artist.

Sara Bareilles picked up a surprise Album of the Year bid for "The Blessed Unrest."

I highly doubt Kendrick Lamar will win Album of the Year but with 7 nominations imo he is bound to walk away with a Grammy or two.

As for who I'm rooting for I'd say Macklemore, Lorde, Bruno Mars, and P!nk.

BTW I updated the list of nominees because some of the top categories were not complete!

I also switched out the Grammy award picture because the red base Grammys are for the Latin Grammys while the normal Grammy awards have a black base.
