TNA Impact on Thursday, January 23 scored a 1.21 rating, up 12 percent from last week's 1.08 rating for "Night 1" of the Genesis Impact special.

"Night 2" on Thursday night scored the highest rating in over two years dating back to November 2011 following Bound for Glory 2011.

The last time Impact hit the 1.2 mark was almost exactly two years ago when the January 19, 2012 episode scored a 1.20 rating.

- Impact averaged 1.55 million viewers, up 18 percent from Night 1's average. It was the most viewers in almost exactly one year when the Jan. 17, 2013 episode averaged 1.60 million viewers.

- Impact was aided by its Spike TV lead-in, "Cops," which averaged 1.281 million viewers and helped draw in an older audience, especially for Sting's potential farewell match in TNA.

In the demographic ratings, Impact was even in males 18-34 and down among younger viewers compared to last week. But, males 18-49 increased to the highest rating since before Fall 2013. Impact was also likely boosted by viewers outside of the m18-49 window.

Night 2 of TNA's "Genesis" Impact TNA Impact on Thursday, January 23 officially scored a 1.25 rating. This was off a first hour 1.29 rating and second hour 1.22 rating.

Impact was aided by the "Cops" lead-in on Spike TV, which helped Impact score a 1.42 rating in Q1. Impact declined the rest of the first hour, then received a strong top-of-the-second-hour bump to a 1.39 rating for the Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode full-length, uninterrupted cage match.

However, Impact dropped off to a 1.21 rating in Q6 and finished with show-low 1.13 and 1.14 ratings. The final segment was centered on the Magnus vs. Sting TNA Title vs. TNA Contract match, which represented Sting's TNA farewell.

Impact Break Down

Q1: Impact opened with a 1.42 rating following "Cops." The segment included Sting and Magnus setting the stage for their TNA Title match in the main event, plus one commercial.

Q2: Impact dropped off to a 1.26 rating for Gunner vs. James Storm with Gunner's TNA Title shot briefcase on the line, plus one commercial.

Q3: Impact slightly increased to a 1.29 rating for Chris Sabin vs. Austin Aries for the X Division Title with Velvet Sky ringside in a cage. There was also one commercial.

Q4: Impact dropped to a 1.19 rating for two commercials and various video packages.

Q5: Impact surged to a 1.39 rating for Angle vs. Roode in a 14-minute cage match consuming the entire quarter-hour.

Q6: Impact fell back to a 1.21 rating for a Bro-Mans comedy segment and two full commercial breaks.

Q7: Impact fell to a show-low 1.13 rating for Samoa Joe squashing Rockstar Spud, one commercial, and main event ring introductions.

Q8: Impact was about the same with a 1.14 rating for Magnus vs. Sting with Sting's TNA contract on the line vs. the TNA World Title, plus one mid-match commercial.

I don't know nothing about ratings but they seem like decent ratings to me especially with football season coming to an end this might be TNAs chance at getting better ratings they NEED to promote this show I never see any commercials of TNA on any other network.

Q1 and Q5 were really strong ratings for TNA but it sucked they couldn't really sustain that number.

I find it really sad that Sting/Magnus for the World Title was the second lowest rated quarter hour!
