Daft Punk was the top winner at the Grammys. The dance-music duo won Album of the Year for "Random Access Memories," which also won Best Dance/Electronica Album. Their single "Get Lucky," featuring Pharrell Williams, won Record of the Year and Pop Duo/Group Performance. Williams, who had seven total nominations, also won Producer of the Year (Non-Classical).

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis were also multiple winners, receiving Best New Artist during the telecast to go along with their pre-show wins for Best Rap Performance, Song, and Album ("The Heist").

Lorde rounded out the general-field winners; she was awarded Song of the Year for her breakthrough single "Royals," which also won her Best Pop Vocal Performance.

Justin Timberlake was snubbed in the general field categories, but he had a successful Grammy night anyway, winning three of his seven nominations: Rap/Sung Collaboration ("Holy Grail" with Jay-Z) during the televast, as well as Music Video ("Suit and Tie," also with Jay-Z) and R&B Song ("Pusher Love Girl") during the pre-telecast.

Jay-Z's two wins with Timberlake bring his career Grammy haul to 19, which ties him as the 15th most honored artist in Grammy history. He had a leading nine nominations in 2013.

Timberlake lost Best Pop Vocal Album to surprise winner Bruno Mars for his sophomore album "Unorthodox Jukebox."

Kacey Musgraves lost her Best New Artist bid, but she won a pair of prizes in the country field: Best Country Song ("Merry Go Round") and Best Country Album ("Same Trailer Different Park"), beating Taylor Swift's Album of the Year-nominated "Red." Swift, who had four nominations, was shut out.

Paul McCartney won Best Rock Song for "Cut Me Some Slack" along with surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear. Grohl also won Visual Media Compilation for "Sound City."
