TMZ reports that Johnny Depp was served with a subpoena for a murder case. He was served with legal documents at the premiere for his movie Transcendence in Los Angeles on Thursday (April 10).
Depp being served is apparently part of a plan by a lawyer to prove Nancy Lekon, who was charged with murder and is standing trial later this month, is insane. Lekon is pleading not guilty by reason of insanity. Lekon reportedly told police officers at the time of her arrest that she was in a relationship with Johnny Depp and was in the area so they could rendezvous. The public defender for Lekon wants Depp to take the stand to show the jury that Lekon is delusional.
Lekon drove a limo in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles in 2009 and is said to have allegedly run over a pedestrian.
