| Well since all of Pro Wrestling is staged/booked, I would say that it wouldn't be wrestling at all... | |

Not necessarily. Without the choreographed nature of wrestling, it's not longer wrestling and simply fighting ala MMA/UFC. Being an experienced wrestler doesn't help you win the fight in a real competition, quickness, strength, stamina and knowledge of the human body and how to manipulate the human body to your will are all far more important factors than how experienced you are in wrestling. For example: Mickie James has about 10 years of wrestling experience compared to Maryse who only has about 2-3 years of real wrestling experience. However, Mickie's training is solely in choreographed wrestling spots (not even amateur wrestling which isn't the same as professional wrestling training and more similar to competitive fighting than choreography) while Maryse is actually a black belt in mixed martial arts. Just looking at those factors, despite Mickie being the better professional wrestler, I'd put my money on Maryse in an unstaged match. | |
