The Future of Santino Marella

On April 16. 2007 Santino Marella made a successful debut by winning the Intercontinental Championship from Umaga. Ever since Santino has been known for his comedic relief. He's done various things from trying Melina's entrance, to being the fastest eliminated superstar in Royal Rumble history. As of late he has been known more for being Beth Phoenix's manager. But it's likely that Beth Phoenix and Santino will one day split up. What will be next for Santino Marella?


Should he be kept as a comedic relief character, or should he start to climb the ladder up to a serious wrestling career?

erm they have already split as far as i can see
and no they shouldnt change him....hes a bit of light comic relief for the lowermidcard section of the roster like goldust......cos lets face it hes not gonna be a world champ is he

He won't go anywhere. He is the perfect comedic heel/face, and he is very over because of it. He is one of the best guys with charisma that can be funny. Too many heels play the cool heel role, and playing an idiotic role like Santino did was refreshing. I say he goes back to being heel and do all the shenanigans that made him great.

well the only reason i dont think hes a goner is because he is very over with the crowd
hell back in his heel days he was getting "santino" chants....and i can even give u an example
at the royal rumble this year when melina went against beth the fans were more interested in santino and chanted him then what was happening in the ring

Yea but that was back in January, the fans care about Melina now and Donald Trump fired "Santina" That was the only thing going for him, Santino is back at square one. He will be jobbing and then ultimately be released.

fans have cared about santino since glamerlla another reason why beth is as over as she is.....santino will job and be comedy and will be released.....at some point

cos as far as i can see there are only 3 divas that get any amount of reaction melina, mickie and maria
beth has the biggest pop followin those 3 so for a roster of 18 divas.....and being the 4biggest reaction...so yeah yeah she is over in diva terms
