An appeals court in New York dismissed Dan Rather’s lawsuit against CBS Tuesday. The suit, which asked for $70 million in damages, claimed the network made the newsman a scapegoat for a scandal involving a George W. Bush report. The court ruled that Rather did not sufficiently support his claim.
