Rey Mysterio Bracelet
WWE has released a brand new bracelet for Rey Mysterio fans. Very affordable.

Raw Royal Rumble Participants
A handful of Raw wrestlers are going to be involved in the match, but not everyone has a shot at winning the Royal Rumble match on Sunday.

Raw Royal Rumble Participants

With Raw being the flagship brand for WWE, there's never going to be a shortage of superstars from this roster participating in one of the biggest matches of the year.

The following are the wrestlers from Raw that have been officially announced for the match and the chances that they have of winning the match.

  • John Cena - As long as Vince McMahon views him as the top star in the company, then he's always going to have a great chance of winning the Royal Rumble.
    Chances: Great

  • Triple H - As long as he's married to Vince McMahon's daughter, he'll be a candidate to win the Royal Rumble. Joking aside, he's a candidate because he's a top level star. Pure and simple.
    Chances: Great
  • Shawn Michaels - Another guy that is guaranteed good things. He'll always have a good showing at the Royal Rumble. He'll always have a high spot at Wrestlemania. He'll have that until he chooses to walk away.
    Chances: Great
  • Big Show - His association with Chris Jericho and the fact that WWE has yet to create new main event wrestlers means that Big Show has a better chance than normal.
    Chances: Good
  • Kofi Kingston - For a while there, it looked like Kofi Kingston was ready to make the big jump into the main event scene. He's lost a little bit of momentum, and that's going to prevent him from winning the Royal Rumble this year. He needs to get back in the good graces of Randy Orton soon.
    Chances: Moderate
  • Miz - Anyone who still thinks that John Morrison is going to be the bigger star is obviously not paying attention to what WWE thinks. Miz is going places, but it's too soon to give him a Royal Rumble win.
    Chances: Moderate
  • MVP - He's been given a lot more mic time as of late on Raw. However, management still does not book him strong in matches. That doesn't bode well for his Royal Rumble chances.
    Chances: Slim

  • Jack Swagger - Management has lost a lot of faith in Jack Swagger. He might still turn his career around, but it's not happening this year. He has been getting some shine on Raw as of late, though.
    Chances: Slim
  • Ted DiBiase - People have talked about him having a high spot at Wrestlemania against Undertaker or Randy Orton. Doesn't look like it's going to happen this year. Maybe later on in his career, though.
    Chances: Slim
  • Cody Rhodes - Let's just say that Cody Rhodes has less of a chance at winning the Royal Rumble than his tag team partner (Ted DiBiase) does.
    Chances: Slim

  • Mark Henry - WWE has been trying to sell to us that Mark Henry's strength makes him a dangerous man in this match. I find that extremely hard to believe.
    Chances: None
  • Santino Marella - This guy has a permanent job with WWE as long as his comedic routine is still a hit with people backstage. He has no chance at winning, but he will have a better showing than before.
    Chances: None
  • Carlito - The second generation wrestler could have been a main event performer for WWE had the situation been right. Unfortunately, though, the ship has sailed.
    Chances: None
  • Evan Bourne - The high flyer has trouble winning regular matches on Raw. What makes anyone think that he has a shot at winning the Royal Rumble?
    Chances: None

ECW Royal Rumble Participants
It might not be as big of a brand as Raw and Smackdown, but ECW still manages to send a few participants into the Royal Rumble every year.

ECW Royal Rumble Participants

ECW is known as the developmental brand for WWE. It is a notch higher than Florida Championship Wrestling, but it's also a couple of notches below Raw and Smackdown. That makes it hard to believe that anyone from this particular roster is going to making a big impact at the Royal Rumble.

The following wrestlers have been officially announced as participants in the Royal Rumble. We've also listed the chances of them winning the match.

  • William Regal - William Regal isn't in ECW because management doesn't think that he's not a great overall performer. The guy can talk, and he can work matches better than the majority of the roster. He was once on his way to a major heel push on Raw, but that was stopped because of a suspension. There's still a chance that he could get pushed again. Very slight chance, though. Actually, I wouldn't recommend betting anything more than $1 on William Regal winning the Royal Rumble.
    Chances: Slim

  • Yoshi Tatsu - Yoshi Tatsu has lasted a lot longer in WWE than many people expected him to. He doesn't have a huge connection with the audience, but he has some support from them. However, if anyone thinks that he has a chance at winning the Royal Rumble, that needs to stop. He might end up being a solid midcard wrestler for WWE for years, but it's hard to envision him getting past that glass ceiling.
    Chances: None

  • Zack Ryder - Zack Ryder had a slight push a few months ago, but that's down the drain now. He looks to be lost in the shuffle on the third brand. Management seems to have given up on him despite the fact that he's got one of the better personalities in the company. Don't believe me? Check his Twitter account. He shows as much personality as Chris Jericho and the Miz do.
    Chances: None

  • Hurricane Helms - There were rumors not too long ago that Hurricane Helms was looking to get out of his contract and head on over to TNA. Even if he was just a member of the X division over there, it would be a huge upgrade over what he's doing now. Very few people actually believe that WWE is going to give him a decent push. He's a talented overall performer. Underrated actually. However, management is concerned with his ability to stay healthy.
    Chances: None

Shelton Benjamin - Shelton Benjamin will never get a main event push in WWE. However, since he is a veteran, he's earned the right to be thrown into the Royal Rumble each year. It also doesn't hurt that he's going to be utilized for a high spot in the match either. It's similar to the situation where Shelton Benjamin is constantly thrown into the Money in the Bank match each year at Wrestlemania.
Chances: None

(Smackdown Superstars have yet to be posted, however I will edit it in once it's posted.)

Eye of the Hurricane
Things are calm right now, but they're about to get hectic pretty soon. Gregory Helms is about to face some serious problems in the coming days.

Eye of the Hurricane

Hurricanes are devastating things. Winds up to 155 miles per hour demolish everything that comes across its path. Buildings are destroyed and cars get thrown around like they were toys. Very scary thing.

However, in the very center of this natural disaster is something called "the eye of the hurricane".

The eye of the hurricane is a small area right smack in the middle of the thing where it's calm and peaceful. If you were standing in the middle of it, you would have no idea about the destruction that lies ahead.

Right now, Gregory Helms is caught in the eye of the hurricane.

Arrested Development

For those of you that are unaware, Gregory Helms and Chris Jericho were arrested in Kentucky on Thursday morning. The two were charged with public intoxication.

Details have emerged from the incident, and Gregory Helms sounds like the guilty party in this entire situation. Fueled by alcohol, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion physically struck friends inside of a taxi. Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy were both involved in the incident as well.

Pecking Order

Everyone knows that WWE doesn't punish their wrestlers equally. Those that are main event performers do not have to follow the same rules as the wrestlers that management consider to be expendable.

Guys like Randy Orton, Batista, Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and John Cena are going to be able to get away with a lot more things than guys like Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin, Chavo Guerrero, Dolph Ziggler, and Christian can.

Fortunately for Chris Jericho, he's in the main event. While this situation does make him look bad, don't expect management to halt his push any time soon. He's just too hot of a commodity for them to truly punish him on screen.

Hurricane Helms, though, is a different story.

While he's an underrated performer who has talent in and outside of the ring, Hurricane Helms is considered expendable by management. He's simply a lower level wrestler on the company's third brand.

He's going to be the one that's going to face the wrath of management. With big name media outlets like MTV and TMZ picking up on the story, management is quite upset with the situation because they're receiving negative publicity during a time where the company is building towards Wrestlemania.

There wasn't much of a chance of Hurricane Helms receiving an actual push from WWE prior to the arrest, which means that there's definitely not going to be a chance of a push after the incident. In fact, Hurricane Helms was immediately removed from the Royal Rumble match taking place this Sunday.

A release from his contract would not be completely out of the question. Hurricane Helms was rumored to have been unhappy with the company and was said to be looking for ways to get to TNA to join close friends Shannon Moore and Jeff Hardy.
