Alex Shelley to WWE
WWE created NXT in order to find their next star. However, the company could easily save a lot of time by stealing Alex Shelley from TNA.

Alex Shelley to WWE
If you saw headlines like this, then you can be sure that most wrestling fans would simply shrug their shoulders.

The WWE fans that don't watch TNA would have absolutely no idea how talented Alex Shelley is. Those that do watch TNA will start overhyping his arrival just like they do for every single person that signs with Vince McMahon.

However, those of us that have been following Alex Shelley for quite some time now know that he's one of the most underrated performers in the entire industry.

Christian might have the Captain Charisma moniker, but Alex Shelley is right up there with him for contention of it. Anyone that can keep up with Kevin Nash on the mic is bound to have a gift of gab.

For some reason or another, though, TNA has refused to give Alex Shelley a big push, either as a singles star or with his tag team partner Chris Sabin.

That right there could provide WWE with the window of opportunity to "create" a new star. He could very well follow in the same path as Chris Jericho once did when he went from WCW to WWE.

Sex Appeal
During an interview, Kevin Nash was once asked what it took to succeed in professional wrestling.

Never been one to hold back on a great quote, Kevin Nash simply stated that you have to become the guy where other guys want to be you and girls want to be with you. Of course, the founder of the nWo used terms that were a lot less family friendly than the words I chose.

Alex Shelley is exactly that guy. Kevin Nash, a close friend, would be one of the first guys to back up that statement as well.

With the powerful WWE marketing team behind him, Alex Shelley could not only end up becoming a star but also someone that can move merchandise for them.

At 26 years of age and a unique look, Alex Shelley would be quite appealing to the younger audience that WWE is geared towards.

All or Nothing
Of course, all this talk means nothing if WWE were to steal Alex Shelley from TNA and not portray him as a big star. It would just a lateral move where he'll get more frequent flier miles and maybe a little more money.

WWE generally prefers to have guys working out in the developmental system for a year or so before bringing them up. Once they're brought up, they have to work their way through the ladder.

That approached hasn't necessarily worked out that well as of late (with the exception of Sheamus being skyrocketed into a spot that he wasn't ready for).

When WWE brought Chris Jericho in, he was immediately thrown into a segment with the Rock. That's how you instantly give someone momentum. That's how you build up hype.

That's how you got to bring in Alex Shelley.

Money in the Bank 2010

Let's take a look at the upcoming Money in the Bank match and see who really has a chance to win the prized briefcase and get a guaranteed title shot.

Money in the Bank 2010
On March 28, 2010, WWE will be hosting their annual Wrestlemania pay per view at the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

One of the most anticipated match on the card is the Money in the Bank match, which will feature Christian, Dolph Ziggler, Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, Kane, Matt Hardy, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin.

Winner of the match obviously wins themselves a title shot at any time in the next year.

Let's take a look at each wrestler and their chances to win.

  • Christian - To be quite honest, this is the only guy in the match that should be winning the Money in the Bank briefcase. We all know he deserves it. The only thing that prevents it from being a guaranteed thing is the fact that Vince McMahon is not on his side.
  • Dolph Ziggler - Back when Dolph Ziggler was getting a push, it would have been believable that he had a shot at winning the Money in the Bank. However, after management gave up on him, it doesn't look very likely.
  • Evan Bourne - We all know that Evan Bourne was simply thrown into this match so that he can do one of his high flying moves during the match. Someone that is used constantly as a jobber on Raw isn't going to be elevated any time soon.
  • Jack Swagger - Just like Dolph Ziggler, WWE has given up on Jack Swagger as well. The decline in his push is quite evident. To go from being the ECW champion to working a part time feud with a comedic character like Santino Marella is quite a big drop.
  • Kane - If you actually think that Kane has a chance at being pushed, then you probably have not been paying close attention to how he's been used over the last few years. The only chance he has of winning the MITB match is if management is looking to give him a farewell gift. Unlikely to happen, though.
  • Matt Hardy - There was a time when it was believable that Matt Hardy could win the Money in the Bank match, but that time has passed. The company has not focused on him much since Jeff Hardy left the company. Sad to say this, but he might never get a shot at the main event in WWE.
  • MVP - MVP is one of those guys that have a glass ceiling over them in WWE. Despite being ultra talented, it's going to be hard for him to break through that. He hasn't done much since the company gave him and Mark Henry a small push as a tag team.
  • Shelton Benjamin - We should all know by now that Shelton Benjamin is the guy that the company turns to for a high spot in the Money in the Bank match. That's one of the big reasons why he hasn't been released yet. Tremendously talented, but he doesn't have any chance at winning.

Sting Turns Heel
TNA is trying to do something very difficult right now by booking Sting as a heel during his final months in the industry.

Sting Turns Heel
Sting made his much anticipated return to TNA on this week's episode of iMPACT!, which also happened to be the first one in which the company made the full time transition to Monday nights to compete with WWE.

With word spreading fast throughout the internet wrestling community, most people were already expecting to see him on Monday.

What they weren't expecting was that he was going to come back as a villain as opposed to being the hero that he has constantly been throughout his 25 year career in professional wrestling.

Sting not only roughed up Hulk Hogan, Abyss, and the newly signed Rob Van Dam, he also got physical with TNA President Dixie Carter backstage. Bats were flying everywhere on Monday night.

It's loud and clear. Sting is now a heel.

What's the Motive?
After TNA iMPACT! ended on Monday night, wrestling fans from across the world scrambled to their computer in hopes of finding some answers as to why Sting decided to become a villain.

The clues that were given appear that they're leaning towards a storyline where Sting is upset with TNA management for bringing in Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff to run the show.

With the long history between Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and Sting, TNA lead writer Vince Russo should be able to come up with some compelling stories. The groundwork is there. He just needs to make it happen.

Since Sting is mad at management, he might be able to play the 'tweener role, where he is associated with both heels and babyfaces. It would be nice to see the former NWA World Heavyweight Championship criticizing AJ Styles and long time rival Ric Flair.

Team Player
This isn't the first time that Sting has portrayed a heel. He's done so a couple of times already throughout his career. While he doesn't necessarily like the role, he has always been a professional and done so out of loyalty to a company.

Just like legendary counterpart Shawn Michaels, Sting found revenge towards the end of his career. Both guys were known as the party types, but they ended up finding religion and becoming extremely dedicated to their families.

However, unlike Shawn Michaels, Sting is actually willing to be a heel. Obviously, there are certain restrictions that he has on how he portrays his character, but the fact that he's willing to do it shows just what type of person that he is.

This is more about praising Sting than it is about bashing Shawn Michaels. Every man has a right to their own personal beliefs. If the Heartbreak Kid doesn't want to be a heel, then that's his right to choose.

Divas Power 25 - Week of March 6th
I've decided to start this over.

23 - Maryse
The new Divas Champion was on the losing end of a wild Diva Pajama Pillow Fight Match. At least she looked good doing it.

19 - Michelle McCool
The Women's Champion wasn't in action on Friday's SmackDown, but she did find out that the powerful Beth Phoenix is itching for a chance at her title.

12 - Straight Edge Society: CM Punk, Luke Gallows & Serena
CM Punk helped his Rookie, Darren Young, pick up a win on WWE NXT, but he couldn't help Luke Gallows beat Rey Mysterio on Friday night.

bahahhaha at them confirming what we all thought
Bourne and Benjamin are their to be spot monkeys

and HEY who knows maybe Bourne will impress more then Benjamin...so Benjamin can finally free up a more deserving spot on the roster ie getting the pink slip, and Bourne can fill in his spot as resident MITB spot monkey
