New Years' Revolution - Lita* vs Trish Stratus (Women's title match):
these two get a great promo for what probably would have been a great match. Lita is wearing some pretty cool attire here but sadly the promo lasts longer than the actual match. after a bit of grappling with each other Lita throws Trish out of the ring and botches a Thesz press off the apron, tearing her ACL. back in the ring she tries to wrestle but the knee continues to buckle. Trish works a bit on the knee and Lita goes for her DDT but her knee buckles and Trish chick kicks her to get the pin. good news: Trish is now a six time champion. bad news: the division will be at the worst it's ever been for the next several months. N/A

No Way Out - Rookie Diva of the Year Contest:
contestants are Joy Giovanni, Michelle McCool, Lauren Jones and Rochelle Lowen (who are they?). judges are Dawn Marie and Torrie Wilson and I'm sure this is Dawn's last PPV appearance. ok this is all to do with Vince's insane troll logic that fans actually wanted to see this. round 1 is the evening gown contest and the girls come out to Candice Michelle's music. Joy wears purple, Rochelle wears red, Lauren wears black, Michelle wears brown. Dawn's commentary is great. the girls parade around the ring briefly. round 2 is later on and is the talent portion. Joy massages Torrie to arouse the crowd, Dawn tells her it was pathetic. Rochelle tells a joke which is truly lame. Dawn calls her on it. Lauren does dancing. Dawn tells her she shouldn't quit her day job. Michelle is up next and says she's sick of Dawn so she bodyslams her (that's nice foreshadowing). third round is the swimsuit contest. Joy wins the contest. Dawn's commentary was priceless. N/A

WrestleMania 21 - Trish Stratus* vs Christy Hemme:
While not as awful as Sable and Tori (both versions) we are left scratching our heads and thinking “really, WWE?” Christy only in the company for less than six months and gets a shot at the Women’s title at Mania? Sure she has the Playboy cover but why not just stick her in a T&A match like Sable and Torrie at 20? We can blame Lita for this for two reasons: a) she injured herself and she would have definitely been in this match otherwise and b) she cheated on Matt with Edge which is the reason for all these stupid “we want Matt” chants. Trish starts off by lying down on the mat, mocking Christy before kicking her out of the ring and throwing her weakly into the ring steps. Back inside she chops at Christy in the corner and makes fun of her dancing. Christy grabs Trish’s leg as she goes for a kick and gets one of her own before dragging her off the ropes. She goes for a strange pin that looks like she’s doing a push up but it looks like a botched spot. Trish recovers and taunts Lita at ringside but walks into a split-legged sunset flip from Christy done off the top rope I might add. Trish follows up with a running spine-buster and taunts Lita again outside who checks on Christy but gets shoved into the crowd barrier. Back in the ring Christy gets a few kicks in and then shoves Trish’s head repeatedly off the turnbuckle and lands a twist of fate which Trish kicks out of. She rolls Christy up who reverses it and Trish has trouble kicking out leading to a bad moment when the ref doesn’t count to three despite Trish being down. Once they’re out of the predicament Trish lands a chick kick to finish. Sloppy and definitely not up to the Mania standard, Christy wasn’t ready for this and it most certainly showed. 4/10

Vengeance - Christy Hemme vs Victoria:
well in the months since WrestleMania 21 Trish got injured and Molly Holly walked out leaving Victoria as the only wrestler on the divas roster. this feud was quite good although brief and the crowd were on Victoria's side the whole way. Victoria gets Christy to chase her before blindsiding her. Christy mounts Victoria and starts bashing her head off the turnbuckle and then choking her. Victoria drops her down and delivers punches of her own. Victoria puts Christy in a hangman's chokehold and then chokes her in the corner. she holds Christy up and then drops her down before locking in a sleeper hold. Christy botches a rollup attempt and Victoria sets her up for the Widow's Peak, Christy reverses into a sunset flip but Victoria chokes her again. she misses a moonsault from the top rope and Christy throws her around and DDTs her. Christy goes for her split legged sunset flip but Victoria reverses into a pin and grabs the ropes to win. too bad Christy would get sent to Smackdown leaving Victoria with nobody to ffeud with. 6/10

Great American Bash - Melina vs Torrie Wilson (Bra and Panties match):
Candice Michelle is the special guest referee looking mighty fine. it's all about Melina's push but why is she wrestling in her bedroom slippers? she doesn't do her splits entrance either. Torrie and Melina grapple in the corner and Torrie shoves Melina down. Torrie gets a headscissors in which Melina sells wrong. Torrie locks in an abdominal stretch and rips off Melina's t-shirt. Melina angrily kicks Torrie to the outside, shoving her down. she rips Torrie's top off before punching her on the mat. she chokes Torrie on the ropes and then on the mat. Torrie kicks her in the head and clotheslines her following up with a dropkick. Torrie delivers a float over suplex and gets dropped on the ropes. Melina pulls Torrie's pants down to win but she attacks Candice. Torrie and Candice strip her and she flees. Candice then strips as well. not bad. 5/10

Unforgiven - Trish Stratus & Ashley Massaro vs Victoria & Torrie Wilson:
yay face Trish! we've missed you. Victoria and Trish start off in the ring and Victoria gains the advantage with a belly to back suplex. Victoria locks in a bridging camel clutch and an arm wrench but Trish comes back with a spinning headscissors. Trish goes into control with Air Canada and tags Ashley in. Ashley rolls over Victoria's back and clotheslines her. reminds me of Lacey Von Eric's backflip into an elbow drop. Ashley does something weird where she somersaults over Victoria lying down to do a dropkick. Torrie breaks the pin attempt and she and Candice double team her at ringside. Victoria does her rolling leg drop thing and locks in a headscissors. Torrie tags in and drives Ashley's head into the mat but tags Victoria back. Ashley gets isolated as Victoria locks in a front facelock. she makes the tag to Trish but the ref didn't see it. Victoria gets a snap suplex and goes up top but Ashley crotches her and tags Trish who delivers the Stratusphere. Torrie distracts Trish so Victoria can deliver the Spider's Web but Trish reverses it into a headscissor takedown. Torrie comes in but Trish ducks and clotheslines her and Victoria. she spinebusters Victoria but Candice distracts the ref so Ashley rams her head into the apron. back in the ring Trish delivers her simultaneous snapmare headscissor combo to Torrie and Victoria. she chick kicks Victoria to get the pin. good match. 7/10

No Mercy - MNM vs Animal, John Heidenreich & Christy Hemme:
i always liked this match and why did Christy have to be released? Animal starts off big booting Nitro. Heidenreich tags in and spears Nitro before tagging Animal back in and both back elbow Nitro. Animal misses a clothesline and aggravates his shoulder. Nitro and Mercury double team him and Mercury starts kicking him (i'm not sure who it is, they look way too similar). Nitro and Mercury deliver the Snapshot to Animal but the count gets delayed when Heidenreich and Nitro get into a scuffle. Nitro tags in and continues to work on Animal's arm. while the ref is distracted Melina gets a headscissors locked in on Animal over the ropes. Mercury tags in and lands a diving right hand to Animal's shoulder. he locks in an arm bar and lands a neckbreaker. Mercury goes for a crossbody but Animal catches him and powerslams him onto the mat. Heidenreich and Nitro go at it and Nitro ends up punching the barricade by mistake. Melina tags in and attempts a crossbody but Animal catches her and tags Christy. she leaps over Animal and clotheslines Melina. she hurricanranas her and then plants her with the Doomsday Device to get the pin. great match. 8/10

Taboo Tuesday - Trish Stratus*, Mickie James, Ashley Massaro, Candice Michelle, Victoria, Maria (Fulfil Your Fantasy Battle Royal for the Women's championship):
ok choices are lingerie, leather and lace & cheerleader outfits. gee guess which one the fans went for. i'm wondering where Torrie is since the match is a bit uneven as there are four faces and only two heels. They all go at it with Trish working Victoria and both teetering on elimination on the top turnbuckle. Mickie made the save and Victoria almost went out. Victoria and Candice were taken down and Maria started dancing around and was eliminated by Mickie and Ashley. Ashley sent Candice to the apron but Candice nailed a forearm to get back in.Candice choked Ashley upside down over the ropes and then did a dance and Ashley knocked her down to the floor. Victoria kicked Trish in the face and then hit the Spider's Web.Victoria went to eliminate Mickie but Ashley made the save. Ashley and Mickie picked Victoria up and tried to dump her but she held on. Victoria catapulted Ashley over the top and hit the Spider's Web on Mickie and then Trish took over on Victoria with a spinning headscissors. Trish choked Victoria in the ropes but Victoria came back and almost eliminated Trish. Mickie made the save and pulled Trish back in but Victoria splashed her. Mickie made the save and Victoria slapped her. Mickie then dived at Victoria and both went out and Trish retains. 6/10

Survivor Series - Melina vs Trish Stratus* (Women's Championship):
Melina has MNM with her and Trish has Mickie but Melina, why are you wrestling in your bedroom slippers again? this match can be seen a bit of a passing the torch affair since Melina is now what Trish was then. Trish starts off with Air Canada on Melina who ducks to the outside so Trish body blocks all three members of MNM. Trish throws Melina across the ring and then delivers the whirlybird headscissors. Melina starts working on Trish's back and chokes her at the ropes. she locks in a headscissors sitting on the ropes and then chokes her in the corner with her boot. Trish does the same and Melina kicks her in the face. she gets into a catfight with Mickie James (the start of an epic relationship) and MNM sneak into the ring to set Trish up for the Snapshot but the ref catches them and sends them away. Melina with a takedown and clothesline on Trish before driving her face into the mat. she locks in a surfboard submission and grabs the hair but lets go. Melina blocks the Stratusfaction and lands a facecrusher but Trish kicks out and Melina shrieks. Melina goes up top but Trish gets the Stratusphere in and follows up with a spinebuster. Melina stops another Stratusfaction attempt, putting Trish on the apron and Mickie pulls her out of the way of a Melina attack. Trish kicks her and lands a bulldog off the top rope to get the win. not half bad. 7/10

Trish/Mickie got to have an actual match before the injury happened. they were going at it for about four minutes or so before Trish got injured and what we saw was good. for Trish/Lita all we got was the lock up then Lita botched the dive and they had to rush the ending. if the injury had happened later and they'd gotten to have a bit more then i would have rated it.

as for Lita she was still the one who injured herself. she was extremely clumsy and nearly killed herself in the Raw match. she got away with that and thought she could do anything after that. the affair was known at that time, the crowds were also chanting "you screwed Matt" during the match. i still love Lita btw
