Vengeance Divas Title Match Discussion: Beth Phoenix [c] vs Eve Torres

So as many diva fans know Beth is having her first PPV title defense tonight against Eve.

Apparently WWE made the SD match between Kelly and Beth be for the belt [even though it was not announced beforehand] or they just said screw Kelly's rematch clause..!

Either way it was good news for Eve because she got the opportunity to face the Glamazon tonight for the Divas Title.

Will Eve make Beth's first reign as Divas champ a short one and set a record as the first ever 3x Divas Champion or will Beth successfully retain her belt and potentially move on to another challenger?

I really doubt she will win though; who knows if wwe wants her to win the belt off of Beth but if it happens it will probably be sometime next year.

Of course I don't want her to win the belt anytime soon..

She needs to wait a long time to get to 3x Divas Champ imo.

I hope the match is good but I think I'm going to have to watch it on youtube or something because I'll probably be out to dinner.

holy hell that was fucking good. i knew Eve and Beth had a great match in them. i got a really good feeling from this match like it was exciting but also they could give us more. it was a great match to start off the feud and i'd love to see another between them. they got a good amount of time and it was a nice decisive finish that Beth needed to look strong as champion

Sadly I missed it so hopefully I can see it tomorrow.

Really good match I thought. It seemed like a proper fight, with decent length and the two look like well matched competitors because of their build. They could both showcase their strengths of Eves agility and Beths strength. Eve got a great pop for reversing the Glam Slam, which is always good to hear in a divas match. I liked the little segment beforehand. It helps give anticipation for what's coming.

I saw the match early this morning and I liked it for the most part.

It was given a good length of time and both of them came off strong.

I really liked how Beth had to win without any outside interference which she had to use to finally beat Kelly for the belt.

I thought Eve's new attire was nice but I hated the new music.

I wouldn't mind Eve and Beth having one more PPV title match but I think at SvS they will not do that.

Maybe TLC but who knows if that match will be one on one..?

i noticed in the backstage segment they had the Bellas with the DoD so maybe that's hinting at a Survivor Series match with the Bellas on their side. Tamina obviously will be there as the first elimination and she has worked PPV before. i'd love for Kaitlyn to be on Eve's team but gets taken out on Smackdown so Layla makes her return at the PPV as the replacement. that could be a good way to transition her into the #1 contender spot and keep the feud on Smackdown if they wanted to start a Kelly/Eve one on Raw

I really enjoyed this match. Beth Phoenix is one of my favorite Divas. I think she is able to consistently put on solid matches. Eve has been hit and miss for me, but she put on an great match here. I am curious to see how this feud progresses. Goodness knows I'd much rather see Eve v Beth than Kelly Kelly v Beth.

It is finally nice to see a match with the more veteran divas put on a match that is the same quality of the NXT girls.

When and how did the Bellas turn baby face?

^ They didn't but they were acting like that last night on Raw.

I mean why would their bitchy characters be happy for Ryder who is a face?

Weren't they like that last week too on either Raw or SD?

I don't see why they would go back to being faces.

I like them as heels because at least they have some charisma talking trash and mocking opponents in the ring.
