TNA's "Open Fight Night" Impact episode on Thursday, May 24 scored a 1.02 rating, down from a 1.08 rating last week.
Impact averaged 1.43 million viewers, down three percent from last week. The show was also below the yearly average of 1.49 million viewers.
On cable TV Thursday night, Impact ranked #24 on cable TV, #13 among males 18-34, and #12 among males 18-49. As has been the case the previous few weeks, Impact's top competition was the NBA Playoffs, which averaged 6.9 million viewers. Also, History Channel's "Swamp People" averaged 3.8 million viewers.
In the demographic ratings, Impact rebounded from a year-low in m18-34 last week to be restored to the yearly average. Also, Impact was slightly up in m18-49 compared to last week to be restored to the yearly average.

Caldwell's Analysis: We don't have the quarter-hour numbers yet, but the poor overall rating makes you wonder if viewers were turned off by that opening segment with Hulk Hogan talking about scripts, format sheets, and cutting promos to set up the rest of the show - basically making sure the home viewer's suspension of disbelief was removed for the remainder of the program. Overall, the rating dipping back to the 1.0-level is not a good sign one week before a timeslot change.
