8-24-12 Post SummerSlam SD Ratings: Down From Week Prior

WWE Smackdown last Friday, August 24 scored a 1.84 rating, down from a 1.92 rating the week before. It was the lowest rating since July 13.

Smackdown averaged 2.59 million viewers, down slightly from an average of 2.61 million viewers the previous week. It was the fewest viewers since July 13.

Smackdown viewership has steadily declined each of the last five weeks since July 20 when the Friday show hit a summer peak of 2.96 million viewers.

July 20 - 2.96 million viewers
July 27 - 2.83 million viewers
Aug. 3 - 2.78 million viewers
Aug. 10 - 2.73 million viewers
Aug. 17 - 2.61 million viewers
Aug. 24 - 2.59 million viewers

On cable TV last Friday night, Smackdown ranked #7 in overall viewers, but #1 in key male demographics.

Despite the overall rating decreasing, Smackdown was up about one-tenth of a rating in each key male demographic. Also of note, Smackdown scored its highest m12-17 rating of the year and highest since November 4, 2011.
