WWE Smackdown on Friday, March 8 scored a big 2.09 rating, up seven percent from a 1.96 rating for Social Media Smackdown last week.
It appears Smackdown rode a wave of momentum from Raw four nights earlier drawing a big 3.54 rating, as the buzz for The Undertaker's return last week perhaps moved irregular Smackdown viewers to check out the Friday night show.
Smackdown averaged 2.838 million viewers, up slightly from last week's viewership.
On cable TV Friday night, Smackdown ranked #5 on cable TV, #6 in males 18-34, and #2 in males 18-49. Smackdown was slightly behind ESPN's NBA coverage in the m18-49 demo.
One year ago this week, Smackdown drew a very similar 2.12 rating as WrestleMania hype picked up. The demographic ratings were significantly higher last year, though. | |
